In therapy, we get to understand our individual stories and work towards writing the future we envision for ourselves. In my therapeutic practice, I use cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing techniques in conjunction with solution focused interventions to problem solve solutions to develop practical and individualized coping strategies for depression, anxiety, substance use, and other severe and persistence mental health issues.
After attending Florida State University College and obtaining a masters degree in social work, I became licensed in the state of Florida as a LCSW. Alongside my credentials I have several years of hands on experience working in mental health care settings from crisis units to residential and outpatient programs.
My experience has helped me understand the importance of creating individualized treatment plans and goals unique to each and every persons needs.
