Hi, my name are You Her. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in California. I've worked in the mental health field for over 5 years and focus on helping others who with a variety of mental health challenges, especially challenges with Depression and Anxiety. Other areas I've helped individuals through include experiences with trauma, life changes, self-esteem, and cultural stress. Theoretical approaches I utilize include CBT, Solution Focused, DBT, and Motivational Interviewing.
I like to start by having consumers take the lead, as I feel they will get the best experience out of a session if they already know what they want to address. However, I am also open to taking the lead, as I understand sometimes we just need a little direction. I want to make sure the time we have together is used in the most productive way.
I can be there to listen, or I can put you to work. As a first generation born in the United States, I have learned through the years how culture played a huge impact on my mental health. This prompted my interest in pursuing a career as a therapist, which has helped me to not only help others but myself.
