I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a certified school psychologist who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and their parents. I utilize the three C's (collaboration, creativity, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy/CBT) or Trauma-Focus CBT for both an interactive and informative therapy session. I thoughtfully incorporate a variety of techniques that best suits a person's individual needs, while acknowledging one’s ability to problem solve through to a solution. My therapeutic style incorporates empirically-based research with therapeutic activities and honest feedback.
CBT utilizes a wide range of effective tools that will help you to reach your desired goals. I find that by engaging in various therapeutic activities, skills can be generalized to other settings and be fun. CBT is highly beneficial in showing client's that they can stop, rewire their thinking, and react appropriately to overcome challenges that they face.
Therapy is valuable in its ability to encourage, challenge and change. It is a give and take process where both client and therapist learn from one another. It is my responsibility as your therapist to act as the agent for change- either partnering with you through a difficult transition, or teaching skills in order for you to design your own better life.
