Life is hard. What a cliche. But it totally is. Anxiety, stress, burnout, depression, break ups, getting fired, getting laid off, losing a loved one. This list could go on and on, but the truth is these situations can be extremely hard and painful, especially if we feel alone. We are human beings. We thrive on connection and compassion. We want our stories to be heard, but a lot of the time, past traumas and experiences can make it very scary and difficult to be brave and vulnerable to another person.
I bring compassion, open mindedness, and acceptance into the therapy room and use these tools to approach clients with curiosity about their life and their choices and help create a safe place for them to feel heard and validated. I also integrate humor into sessions because, while life is hard, life is also fun, and that's important, too.
