Mindy has been practicing psychotherapy in Milwaukee County for more than 10 years. She enjoys working with children, adolescents and adults and practices from an integrated approach utilizing Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy modalities and believing that the client is the expert on their own experiences. She specializes in depression, anxiety, adjustment issues, major life transitions and stress management. Mindy appreciates physical and spiritual health’s effects on a person’s mental and emotional wellbeing and supports exploring each of these aspects within the therapeutic setting.

I am accepting new clients, usually the same week appointments. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in Illinois, and a National Certified Counselor. I work at CWM Counseling in Platteville, Wisconsin. My education includes a M.S.Ed. in Counselor Education at Northern Illinois University and a MA in Psychology from National Louis University. I have experience working in the community college setting as well as in substance abuse agencies. I have worked with people aged 16-70. I enjoy helping my clients to find their way through difficult situations.

I bring to my work a lifetime of experience with many different people in many different circumstances. My early life experience as a registered nurse enriches me as a psychologist and provides me with a unique perspective in navigating the path towards healing. I believe that the psyche holds within itself the power to heal, but our egos often get in the way. Through the struggles of life, we can lose contact with our own deep well of inner wisdom. My focus is on helping individuals develop the tools to re-connect with their true vital selves and restore balance.

Christine is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides psychotherapy to individuals of all ages, including children. Christine specializes in treating anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, life transitions, trauma, grief and loss, substance dependence, self-esteem concerns, LGBTQ+, family/relationship conflict, and parenting. Since I began practicing 23years ago, I've gathered extensive experience working with adults and adolescents (14-19 yrs old) using a strengths-based approach in addition to assessing and increasing communication skills for all areas of life to ensure you get the most out of every session. Always first and foremost, my goal as a therapist is to be genuine, approachable, and nonjudgmental as I help guide you through the therapeutic process to become your own best resource.

I want to work with you to uncover what the underlying problem might be that is creating you to feel stuck or disempowered in your life. Exploring and addressing these underlying problems can allow you to be free and empowered, growing into the best version of yourself. My first ten years as a psychotherapist were spent in New Orleans, where I worked, in part, to provide support and healing to members of a community ravaged by the traumas of Hurricane Katrina and the BP Oil Spill. This experience equipped me to serve people within the context of dramatic and disruptive life changes. I collaborate with my clients to manage their symptoms, transform the effects of trauma and grief, address creatively relationship issues, career changes and artistic blocks, and engender personal growth.

As a Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor and Licensed Professional Counselor, I bring over 18 years of passionate experience to my work in helping clients truly heal.  I've been a musician for over half of my life, and have performed locally and nationally, which has provided me with a genuine ability to connect with clients through creativity, depth, and authenticity.  I truly love working with adults, young adults, and teens through the process of change.  I have extensive experience in the substance use/addiction field, as well as mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, PTSD, coping with life transitions, etc.

An ideal client is a person that is open to working on their mental health concerns. One that is willing to engage with the therapist, build a report, make sacrifices, and take the necessary risk to get better.

My ideal client would be anyone in elementary, middle school, high school or post-secondary or early employment. When asked or when I introduced myself, I would label myself as a "school doctor" (rather than a medical doctor) who specializes in all things related to school including, but not limited to academic expectations or challenges; getting along with others through social connections or behavior choices, emotional adjustment or coping with stressors. Usually there is a gap between where you are and where you would like to be and it is our job to work together and move towards reducing that gap.

Brenda K. Stiff, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing psychotherapy since 1985. She graduated from Kentucky State University with a Bachelors of Science in Social Work, and matriculated towards her Masters of Science in Social Work at the University of Louisville, Kent School of Social Work, specializing in Psychopathology. She holds a PhD in Women's Study and Biblical Counseling. Brenda believes Psychotherapy and Biblical Basis for Counseling are her main focus.

Olivia enjoys working with young adults, adolescents, infants, and their families. She works with individuals presenting with a variety of concerns or diagnoses, including anxiety, depression, neurodiversity, behavioral difficulties, adjustment challenges, as well as relational and attachment concerns.

My clients are adults and adolescents who tend to identify themselves as highly sensitive, perfectionistic, and self-critical. They often feel intense emotions and have active minds that always seem to be "on". Using strengths-based, solution-focused, and mindfulness approaches, I help individuals learn to step back and notice their thoughts and feelings rather than be controlled by them. In addition to alleviating the symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma, these skills allow people to connect with their values and pursue what's important to them.

My clinical approach is integrative and collaborative as all people are different. Mindfulness is at the core of all approaches I utilize in practice. I utilize Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to help clients build a base of skills to improve their quality of life including decreasing unhealthy coping mechanisms and building healthier relationships. I work with a variety of techniques with individuals who struggle with PTSD or Complex PTSD including Self-Compassion, Prolonged Exposure, and Somatic therapies. I provide tools for clients to practice in between sessions to help them progress toward their individual goals.

My approach to counseling is warm and accepting. I am here to help you feel stronger, more empowered, and more capable. I believe the success in this comes from us building a strong trusting relationship and approaching all issues from a compassionate and nonjudgemental stance.
