While a large part of my practice is related to sexual health issues, I also work with individuals and couples on non-sexual relational issues.

My mission is to offer compassionate and expert guidance to individuals from ages 3 through young adulthood (18-25). I provide psychotherapy and diagnostic evaluations. I have a particular interest in supporting children who have faced trauma or attachment disruptions and providing neurodiversity-affirming care for autistic individuals. Additionally, I work with a diverse range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and adjustment difficulties. My goal is to empower each client to gain insight into their emotions, develop effective coping strategies, and build resilience.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with many years of experience which include counseling for individuals, couples, families, and adolescent in the Rockford and surrounding areas. I received my Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Illinois ten years after being widowed with five children at home. I am certified in gereatric counseling and EMDR. I specialize in bereavement both for couples, families, and individuals.

I work with adults, especially those grappling with aging-related issues and the effects of cognitive changes in themselves or their loved ones. Our work together will be guided by your needs, desires, and goals. This might include working on challenging relationships, loss and grief, difficult life transitions, depression, anxiety, or critical life decisions. For individuals and families on the dementia journey, I offer support, education, validation, referrals, and assistance in planning. I am happy to consult with family members on an as-needed basis. I am also willing to meet at a client’s home as needed and appropriate.

My passion is for helping young people. I know all too well that being a parent isn't easy and sometimes neither is being a child or young adult. I work hard to understand each family member's unique perspective. I help youth and families to identify and achieve personalized goals. I teach young people effective strategies so they can thrive at home, at school, and with friends. I feel honored to get to help families through some of their toughest times.
