CPTSD (chronic or complex) occurs when we are exposed to multiple or prolonged traumatic events over an extended period. Survivors of all forms of abuse, neglect, & domestic violence, are impacted in their overall health and wellness. We approach trauma treatment from the inside out, meaning we work first to calm the nervous system, then to rewire the brain.
One of the most important facets of treating CPTSD is the warm connection between the client and the therapist, we call this attunement.
