I have enjoyed providing psychotherapy and pastoral counseling services for over 30 years. There is nothing more gratifying than helping a person move through dark and difficult situations, leading them to a place where life works again. There is hope! I have a rich educational background in both psychotherapy and pastoral counseling . I received my graduate degrees from the State University of New York at Albany and Yale University, respectively. Some of my patients have a significant religious or spiritual connection.
While not a requirement, I love working with people of faith and the richness that they bring to a helping relationship.I am a former United Methodist Pastor. I have a deep understanding of faith issues that both hinder and help one to become whole again.
I have discovered that a healthy psychological self and a healthy spiritual self are based upon the same principles: showing kindness, compassion, warmth, and deep understanding to oneself and others.
