Everyone experiences trauma in their life at one time or another, some experience more than others. Traumatized individuals often seek alternative solutions to deal with the discomfort of a traumatic event. The alternative solution is often dysfunctional and can result in suppressed emotional and psychological pain associated with the event. Someone who sufferers from suppressed issue wants relief. My approach to therapy is an integration of a Christian worldview using biblical truths combined with proven therapies to confront and heal the wounds from trauma that impacts your life today. Veterans and First Responders are welcomed.
As a licensed professional therapist, my objective is to establish a therapeutic relationship and help clients discover the maladaptive beliefs and patterns of their life by confronting the disturbing emotions associated with a traumatic event. I use EMDR as the foundation of therapy and helping people discover the roots of destructive beliefs and behaviors.
I am compassionate and understanding in my approach. It is nonjudgmental and I do not condemn someone for where they are in life or the choices they have made. I encourage vulnerability and candid responses to facilitate healing. I am a counselor who has experienced healing through counseling. This encourages me to help others with their healing.
