Some of my core values as a psychologist are to work openly and collaboratively with my patients. I generally work from a contemporary/relational psychoanalytic perspective. So, along with focusing on the here and now difficulties you face, I strive to understand how past experiences and relationships influence expectations about the future, and how these unconscious expectations can drive maladaptive patterns.
Patients with whom I work seek help with concerns such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder, and difficulties in their intimate relationships. I also have expertise in evaluating academic needs of high school and college students diagnosed with learning disabilities or related conditions such as ADHD.
