If you're here you've probably met some life challenges. You may be feeling stuck and alone. I'm hopeful I can help. My name is Will Abshier, LPC (they). I specialize in general mental health, LGBTQ+ mental health, concerns of gender & sexuality, mood disorders, and trauma. My specialty and training have grown from 5 years of experience serving our LGBTQ+ community in combination with my own lived experience. I strongly believe that effective therapy needs to be accessible, individualized, mindfulness-based and solution-focused. I work creatively with each of my clients to provide them a truly meaningful experience in therapy.
My approach solution-focused, evidenced-based, and grounded in mindfulness. I use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Behavioral Therapies (CBT & DBT). I guide folks to identify their authentic values and use them to forge their path toward a greater quality of life. I help folks learn to love the life they live & live the life the life they love.
Throughout our lives we'll look up and find ourselves stuck, even suffering. It's not a punishment; in fact, our challenges are incredibly important to our growth.
