I use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), persons 12yrs-Adult are my focus. I use a strengths-based approach, compassionate acceptance, & DBT Skills Training to help people with sensitive emotions. My style is warm and engaging. I am DBT-Trained through Marsha Linehan's B-Tech Institute which provides the highest caliber of DBT training available. My name is Lori-Ana and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Life Coach. I have been in the mental health field for over 6 years. After recognizing that I needed to make a change from corporate life to something that fulfilled my need to make a difference, I started on my own journey to personal healing. I realized that we all need support in taking small steps to make brave changes. My goal is to provide a safe space for all clients that are motivated in learning new skills and needing assistance in navigating life's tough stuff.

My ideal client is a person that is ready for change and willing to put in the work to achieve success. I have extensive experience with all types of mood disorders, substance abuse, life transitions and trauma and use a variety of approaches tailored to my clients needs and current abilities. One important part of my approach is having a goal of treating the actual underlying problem that has been causing distress, not just treating symptoms.
