A graduate of Lakeland College in Sheboygan, WI, Elizabeth Schrimpf, LPC has worked in a variety of counseling settings since 2014. As a therapist, Elizabeth is skilled in helping teens and adults process and adapt to significant life changes such as grief, religious trauma recovery / deconstruction, job loss, divorce and other changes to family situations. Her clinical experience focuses on treating the anxiety and depression that come with these changes and she uses a holistic, trauma-informed approach to support her clients in learning to build the life they want. Megan partners with her clients to nurture healing, growth and resiliency. In every instance, she will take her time ascertaining how to evoke her clients' strengths, helping them effectively mobilize their own capabilities. In this way, every person she works with ends up with practiced skill sets of their own to take with them after therapy has concluded. Working skillfully with families, adults, teens and children, Megan sees clients individually, offers parent skills training, couples therapy and supports family systems in crisis.

Fortunately, I believe that even seemingly minor shifts in awareness and behavior have the capacity to transform a relationship. I work with individuals and couples to identify the source of disconnection in their relationships, understand themselves and others more deeply, and learn how to reconnect with themselves, partners, family members, and friends.

As a counselor on the autism spectrum who works mostly with autistic adults, I offer a rare perspective that combines mental-health training with lived experience. Whether you are on or off the autism spectrum, I can help you understand yourself and adapt in terms of society, social dynamics, culture, thought process, emotions, and existential questions. I am most experienced in working with anxiety, depression, and academic stress, while working to gain more experience with other client needs. As a veteran myself, I am also passionate about working with service-members, veterans, and military-affiliated individuals around the unique challenges of military life. I seek to provide a space free of judgement or criticism, where individuals can begin to heal from the challenges and traumas of life.
