When things go wrong in life, we can get knocked off center, struggle to stay afloat, or lose our way. Sometimes we may feel we've moved on from life's hardships, but negative reactions and reoccurring thoughts and feelings can continue to reel us back, making the present feel like an ongoing struggle. Our minds, bodies, and nervous systems are remembering the memories of distressing life events, even when we don't consciously think of them every day. We get stuck in anxiety and depression- symptoms of inadequately processed, stuck distress from our lives, both past and present.

My clients can present with a variety of needs and goals. They are motivated and ready to explore and make change happen. Whether it's the bigger changes in life or day to day adjustments, I'm with them through the whole process.

Hello! My name is Kerri Pingel. I am independently licensed in Wisconsin. Children and families are my primary clinical focus. I work mainly with children who have experienced abuse or neglect, trauma, self-harm or suicide tendencies, and foster care/adoption. Before counseling, I was a houseparent for teenage girls in a residential setting and I also worked for an international anti-child sex trafficking organization.

I have worked in this field since 1997 with an extensive background in substance abuse and mental health counseling. I am currently dual credentialed as a Clinical Substance abuse counselor and mental health therapist. I believe counseling is a team effort and my passion is to provide information, education and motivation for patient’s to make positive changes in their recovery. Over the past 5 years, our children have experienced years of toxic stress; the COVID pandemic, virtual school, racial and community violence and unrest, and political volatility. As a KUSD educator, I saw how these events have impacted our kids. Kids are stressed, anxious, depressed, less hopeful about the future, having difficulty making friends, behaviorally acting out or isolating, and often emotionally immature and unsure of themselves.

I believe that happiness and recovery are possible! Anxiety, depression, PTSD, partner conflict and family issues can make life hard and can make people feel stuck. I work with children, adolescents, adults, couples and families to change their lives to have more fulfillment and contentment. I want my clients to not just survive but to thrive. Alexander Beal is a Licensed Professional Counselor who has been practicing since 2018. He graduated from Mount Mary University. Alexander provides a holistic, person-centered therapeutic approach. Life is a rollercoaster of ups and downs. I believe that we are the culmination of these experiences, thoughts, and what we have learned over the years of our life. As we go about this journey, we develop ways of handling challenges as they arise. Sometimes, these solutions are not enough. This is when therapy can help. Megan Rische is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin who has been practicing since 2019. She graduated from UW Milwaukee with a MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Megan is trained in EMDR therapy and works with individuals from diverse populations starting at 5 years old and up. She also has training and experience with couples and family therapy in intensive in home and outpatient settings. Megan's training and experience involves working with individuals who experience trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, emotional, verbal, and physical abuse, family issues, and school and/or work-related stress.
