I have worked in the field of Mental Health Counseling for over 20 years and have extensive experience working with adults, families, adolescents and children. I received much of my clinical training and experience working in inpatient hospital, residential treatment and outpatient treatment settings. During that time I held a variety of professional positions, received quality supervision and completed my Masters Degree in Community Counseling.

I work well with individuals, adolescents, couples, and families who are experiencing difficult circumstances, relationships, or life issues. There are times when all it takes is someone to listen, and there are other times when life is messy and disjointed and direction is lost. I am able to partner with clients through the most traumatic of events and give unique perspective.

I believe in the importance of building the therapeutic relationship in order to provide you with a healthy environment that is conducive to inspiring change. I have a warm and creative approach in counseling that utilizes empathy, humor, and your own strengths and personal preferences. It is important to me that I address the mind, body, and spirit, allowing the therapeutic process of healing to begin.

Hi, I'm Joe and I've been in private practice for over 25 years. I have provided therapy to people at several locations around Southeastern Wisconsin during that time and I have seen people with many different issues. I feel i know many different ways to help people help themselves. That is where my focus is, that of meeting the person where they are so that change can begin. When I listen to people I am not invested in labeling or judging. What I am interested in is understanding your pain and trying to come up with some ideas to help you work through your pain in order to move forward and grow.

As a collaborator, Nick works in coordination with his clients to develop a plan to reach personal goals, desired outcomes, or healthy changes.
