Hello, and welcome! My name is Beth, and I'm a mental health therapist with a certification in Perinatal Mental Health. I work with teens and adults who experience a wide range of mental health concerns including anxiety, depression, adjustment disorder, and bipolar disorder, but my area of expertise is in perinatal mood disorders. I greatly enjoy walking alongside mothers as they transition throughout the many stages of motherhood. I also enjoy helping families navigate chronic medical conditions, specifically type I diabetes in the pediatric population.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and EMDR Certified Therapist specializing in individual and couple therapy. My treatment approach is compassionate, collaborative and goal-oriented. I enjoy helping clients gain insight on how their past experiences influence current ways of thinking and coping to promote new ways of relating with themselves and others. I also offer practical and integrated interventions to help manage everyday challenges and stressors.

I began my counseling profession after hitting bottom in 2001. Coming to terms with my past, littered by multiple addictions and trauma, was not easy. But throughout my own journey of healing, God opened doors I never thought possible. Serving 26 years in the military, I advocated for recovery prior to joining the private sector. I understand the complex intersection of culture, faith, and sexuality. Because of my own journey into healing, I have deep compassion for people in the grips of addiction.

Every client's issues are unique to themselves and need to be validated. I work with individuals with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, eating disorders, and panic disorders, and I am open to seeing all kinds of individuals. I think every person could benefit from counseling, no matter what their issue or how intense. We all deserve to take the time and focus on ourselves so that the people in our lives learn to do the same.

I believe balance, healing, and growth is possible and I'd like to help you on your journey to discover those things. My job as the therapist is to be a guide of sorts but YOU are in the driver seat. It isn't always easy reaching out for help, but I'm glad you're here doing just that. My passion is working with individuals who have survived traumas in their lives. I hope to help you gain a better connection to the skills and strength you inherently have while developing resiliency. Additionally, I am dedicated to working with the Bi-POC, LGBTQIA, and other underserved populations.

I practice a person-centered approach where I strive to treat all individuals with respect which promotes autonomy. I provide a respectful, accepting, and empathetic counseling perspective. I work with adults, adolescents, couples, and families and I have a special interest with working within the framework of holistic wellness.

My focus is on helping clients adjust to life changes, integrating pain and trauma and managing stressors. Everyone handles life experiences and situations different and we often aren't prepared to effectively handle the emotional consequences. I use a collaborative approach to therapy with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Hello! As a Licensed Psychologist, I work with adolescent and adult clients aged 16 years and up in a wide variety of areas including insomnia, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma (sexual trauma, combat trauma, etc), smoking, and many other issues. Additionally, I work with children with sleep issues (e.g., challenging bedtimes, frequent night wakings, and/or co-sleeping with parents).

I have been doing individual, family and couples therapy for 38 years. I am an associate of the American Board of Medical Psychotherapists and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Professional Counselor. My graduate degree is in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin with undergraduate degrees in Psychology and Philosophy. My approach is eclectic focusing on cognitive behavioral, existential and problem solving therapy. I has been trained in transactional analysis and enjoy working with the Christian and spiritual perspective. I have a Lay Ministry certificate in Lutheran studies. I have studied eastern religion, philosophy, Yoga, Judeo-Christian ministry, and the paranormal.
