I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist providing mindful, relational, and somatic therapy for adults and teens via telehealth. I work with teens and adults who are navigating the many difficulties of life. The populations and issues that I best serve include LGBTQIA+, anxiety, panic attacks, relationship and family issues, burnout, grief/loss, major life transitions, and depression. I am a client-centered therapist which means that my approach to each client varies depending on their needs. I utilize varying theories and modalities that are rooted in relationships including psychodynamic, attachment, and family systems.
My special interests in neuroscience, mindfulness, and somatic approaches give me a strong foundation in how the body and mind are connected, and I believe this is where true healing occurs.
I create a trusting environment to foster a balance between giving my clients space and being direct. I reject the idea that a therapist must be a blank slate. Instead, I show up as myself in the way I listen, ask questions, and respond. My clients find that I bring warmth, empathy, and humor to our work together.
