My ideal client is youth 5-18. I have 7 years of experience as a school-based counselor for K-12. Problems that I can help address include depression, loss, trauma, divorce, anxiety, OCD, level one Autism Spectrum Disorder (high functioning), ADHD, behavior issues, foster situations, grandparent/kin raising children, and coming of age issues. I also enjoy supporting adults with depression and anxiety in spiritual guidance from a Christian worldview.

I became a counselor after a close friend died suddenly. I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, providing individual therapy to adolescents, adults, and families. I am a WV native and have been working with children/adolescents/adults for over 17 years. Helping others is my passion. I am an advocate for the families receiving my services. I am a graduate of West Virginia State University with a B.A. in Psychology and Liberty University with an M.A. Professional Counseling. I am trained in EMDR therapy, which is a model of therapy used to treat trauma and other disorders. I am currently taking courses in American Sign Language and hope to eventually offer services to the deaf community. A particularly passionate area of interest is Sex Therapy where she bridges the medical and therapeutic worlds to address a wide range of issues including sexual pain, sexual and gender identity acceptance, past or current sexual trauma/ abuse, interpersonal relationship skills, sexual desire levels, and more. With sensitivity and expertise, she helps clients explore and resolve these intimate challenges, fostering healthier relationships and personal wellbeing.

My therapy practice is trauma informed, person centered, and affirming of the LGBTQ community. I work with general mental health experiences, including mood, stress, and anxiety. I identify as Genderqueer and Bi-Racial. I enjoy working with folks from different ethnicities and races, as well as those who are exploring their gender and sexuality. I graduated from Shepherd University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and a minor in Environmental Studies. I went on to obtain Masters of Social Work from West Virginia University.
