I am a Supervising Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Columbia College and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from The Ohio State University. I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT500) with 500+ hours of classroom study and has been teaching in studios, schools, corporate businesses, gyms, prison, hospitals and private homes for 20 years. I am a Level II Certificate in Integrative Restoration Meditation, an adjunct evidenced based approach in treating trauma, anxiety, depression, chronic pain, addiction and insomnia. I have available sessions for immediate online scheduling!

My goal as a therapist is to create the necessary space for clients to learn coping skills for emotional regulation, manage difficult life changes and gain insight using a person-centered, trauma-informed lens. Drawing from existing strengths and focusing on self-care practices is essential for personal growth. My professional experience using cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing has been able to help guide others and overcome past barriers to treatment.

I utilize an individualized approach to target clinical symptoms and personality issues. My interventions are evidence based with the goal of empowering others to better understand the origins of their issues and to make meaningful changes, regardless of diagnostic labels. I believe everyone deserves to be assisted and supported to live to their full potential and particularly enjoy working with those who have experienced complex trauma from childhood and relationship experiences. I welcome veterans and military families, those in the LGBTQIA+ community, and people seeking to integrate or discuss faith in treatment.

Our mission at Mountain State Counseling and Behavioral Health Services, is to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for our clients to begin their personal journey of improving emotional well-being. We strive to empower our clients to recognize their strengths and self-worth, as they are working toward achieving their full potential and symptom management.

Do you feel like you are struggling to understand your child? Perhaps your child is struggling at home, school, or other social environments? I specialize in helping children find their voice to effectively communicate and help bridge the parent child relationship. Parenting doesn't come with an instruction manual and can often become overwhelming. Through our work together I can help build the confidence needed to navigate the difficult situations often faced by both children and parents today. I connect with children by using play therapy, expressive arts, and other developmentally appropriate interventions.

I provide mental health care that is gender-affirming, trauma informed, and culturally sensitive. My primary clinical interests include anxiety, depression, gender and sexuality, relationship conflicts, family/parenting dynamics, and trauma. I see individuals (12 years and older) and families. I am currently working toward licensure.
