Experience has taught me that a safe and supportive therapeutic environment is the key to emotional healing and personal growth. This is one of the foundations of my work. I have been in private practice for over thirty years. I have extensive training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and am a Certified EMDR therapist ;a treatment for Trauma( Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). I am also certified in Hypnosis. In addition I incorporate Somatic Experiencing, a therapy to relieve and resolve symptoms of trauma and other emotional/health related issues which express themselves in the body.
I work with adolescents and adults struggling with relationship issues, depression, anxiety and fears. I'm skilled in short and long term treatment. I run therapy groups and have a wealth of experience working with couples. I also supervise social workers and analysts in private practice. I hold a Masters Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology.
My approach is authentic,collaborative, and supportive. My goal is to create an atmosphere where people feel free to talk and say what's on their mind. I pride myself, in my ability to listen, am deeply committed to providing what is emotionally needed so each person can maximize their potential and reach their personal goals.
