Welcome. We sometimes need to seek help, and that takes courage. Seeking help, guidance, education, and information can be helpful. At times we need to explore our beliefs and see the connection to our past and present. Being willing to look at ourselves is brave and can make all the difference in our lives. Many things come our way, and we can suffer, struggle, or feel lost. Sometimes we find emotions and symptoms we are unable to deal with, including anxiety, depression, grief of various types, and life transitions that may awaken us to our need to get some help. Listen to yourself and find what you need. There is hope and help.
We want relief and to feel better. This is possible and can happen at any age; it is not too late if you're breathing. I often use a blend of therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral, Emotionally Focused, and Reality Therapy. Mixed with Meditation and Mindfulness, some have found relief, more of what was needed and yet unknown at the start of therapy.
I also have experience working with young adults with special needs if they are able and willing to participate in the therapeutic process. My experiences as a school social worker provided me with the opportunity to gain some understanding of the stress teachers and other members of the school staff often feel, and I care.
