As a first generation Latina woman, I believe in breaking down the cultural barriers and stigma involved with underserved populations receiving mental health services. Most people who come to me are ready to combat their challenges. I come with several years working in social services from non-profit, community mental health and private setting. I take a holistic approach and consider various environmental stressors that can impact our emotional health including: trauma/complex trauma, attachment/loss, chronic illness, housing stability, life phases, parenting, employment, etc.
I work with all ages, with special interest in 0-5, teens, adults; both individually and in family settings, who have experienced difficult life transitions including: adverse childhood experiences, grief and loss, parent/child conflict, family dynamic issues that have often led to behavioral acting out, relationship issues, depression and anxiety.
Therapy is an opportunity to share in your vulnerability, and because of this I strive to make sure the work we are set to do together will benefit you. I invite you to reach out to set up a 15 min consultation to learn more about you and your goals for therapy. Fluent in Spanish
