Hello and thank you for looking at my page. Some say the hardest thing to do is what you are doing right now by starting the process for making change. My name is Wendy Allen and I am a therapist in the Rochester area that focuses on bringing awareness to how our thoughts lead to assumptions and beliefs which results in emotions and behaviors.
I employ cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to examine, challenge and shift possible distortions, or “the old tapes” that play in our head at the worst possible times. I rely on my extensive background in mindfulness and meditation to support people in the changes they want to make in regards to anxiety, depression, substance misuse and trauma.
