As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, my emphasis is meeting clients where they are and providing the type of support to assist them with overcoming challenges that have led to negative experiences. For the past 18 years, I have worked with children and their families to seek solutions to social, behavioral, and emotional issues that impact the home and school environment. One of my primary goals is to equip children and their parents with the tools needed to be successful in any situation or environment. Learning the strategies/tools to build strong, mutually respectful relationships is an area of value where I like to focus.
Much of my experience has been working within a school setting with children and families who struggle with a multitude of personal and academic issues. Some of these difficulties include attention disorders, impulsivity, building meaningful relationships with others, anxiety, emotional disabilities, stress/anger management, and helping families connect.
I hope to always create an atmosphere that is nonjudgmental where my clients feel welcomed and supported throughout their healing process. I definitely want my clients to walk away knowing the value of taking the steps towards improving their lives and their futures.
