I have over 20 years of experience working as a mental health counselor in the State of Washington. My areas of expertise include individual, couple, and family therapy. My specialties are PTSD, trauma, anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and substance abuse. Also, I have been facilitating different groups for 20 years and a DBT group for 9 years. All of the clients who have committed themself to this DBT class have learned some specific DBT skills that they can apply in their daily lives when they feel depressed or anxious.

My ideal client is someone who has an intention to change. During my 32years as a practicing therapist I have encountered a wide range of issues. Having worked with a large number of clients to the point of solution, I have concluded that in the end, the core of helping people is to listen. Effective listening gives me a deep understanding of their current situation. I can then gently point them toward getting more of what they want. My experience and compassion have often proven to be crucial elements for our success. This is the work of my life.

While I am currently on maternity leave until 3/1/2024, when I return I'll work with those feeling the effects of the pandemic, women's issues, those affected by the polarization of the country, and people of color experiencing the tumult of the events over the past several years. Struggling with dating or relationships with family members? I'd like to help with that too. I also work with people who want to understand their own relationship with money and how that affects their lives and the lives of their children. Other issues of interest include the treatment of trauma, self-esteem, workplace burnout, depression, and anxiety.

Chris Cline, MA, has her Master's in Counseling and received her degrees from Regis University and Colorado Christian University. She has been working with children, teenagers, families, couples and individuals on topics of addictions, depression, sexual abuse, adoption, abandonment, attachment issues, domestic violence, wrestling with your relationship with God, trauma experienced while in the womb, gender identity, post traumatic stress disorder and conversion disorder. She has led groups on anger management, domestic violence, children of divorce, thinking errors, adolescent relationships and the masks we wear.
