I believe individuals are unique because of their life experience, perceptions, genetic and cultural background. I don't use one therapy fits all; I use what I think is best given what each client tell me. I encourage, people to move past their own limitations, but do not insist, because it is their journey not mine. I have worked on my own issues, and continue to do so, I appreciate the courage it takes to open up to another person. This process takes time to build a relationship of trust so you can talk about what you don't want to talk about. My hope is you will find a safe place with me to discover more about yourself

I feel very fortunate that in clinical psychology I have found a field where I have been glad to go to work since I saw my first client in 1974. My training has been "˜eclectic'. My undergrad work was in philosophy of science at University of Michigan. After a short stint in medical school, I went to San Diego State University, where my professors were Rogerians, cognitivists and behaviorists (that was before the latter two got hyphenated and finally acronym-ized into CBT), plus one crypto-Freudian who spoke little but offered the most amazing insights. I also had some years of personal psychoanalysis.

People prioritize therapy when it is necessary or important to them. I want to make therapy flexible enough for your busy life, with evening appointments, telehealth, and in-person options. Therapy works best if you have a trusting relationship with your therapist, and I aim to provide that setting, getting to know who you are and what you need, as you are the expert on your life. I hope to help you with the skills that will be useful throughout your life.

Have you found that talk therapy isn't successful for you? Micro Current Neurofeedback uses micro current stimulation that allows for the release of stuck patterns and disentrains the brain where needed. The result is a shifted brainwave state and a much greater ability for the brain and nervous system to regulate itself. Utilizing the brain’s own neuroplasticity, individuals experience a more symptom-free, fulling, positive life.
