I have over 15 yrs. of clinical experience in a wide variety of settings including schools, community centers, and group practices. Hi, I'm Wendy and I provide counseling to children, adolescents, adults, and Seniors. I use a strength based integrative approach that sees each person as unique. I pull from a variety of models including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Mindfulness, Humanistic, Sports, and Positive Psychology. I work with many challenges individuals face addressing emotional, behavioral, and social needs; such as anxiety, depression, domestic violence, attachment disorders, ADHD, and more. I approach counseling with the mindset that the therapeutic relationship is essential. In forming this therapeutic relationship, I work together with the client to process the problems that are presented. I believe the process is a collaboration between the counselor and the client and that all people have purpose and deserve understanding, love, and respect. I am a licensed and certified mental health and substance abuse counselor in the state of Washington. I have practiced in the state of Washington since 2008. I previously practiced in the state of Idaho from 2001-2003. I see clients ages 10 and up. Some of my specialties include addictions, women's and men's issues, couples therapy, family therapy, adolescents, hypnotherapy, CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), mindfulness training and simple meditation, trauma, anxiety, depression, codependency, and others. I offer telehealth upon request but prefer to see clients in person if possible.
