Meaning of life is different for everyone and everyone has their own mission that permits one a great sense of fulfillment in their lives. We are unique when dealing with challenges in life, and at times might need support in finding a purpose that promotes inner growth and self-awareness. Finding solutions can become challenging at times but with an engaging therapeutic relationship, one's challenges become meaningful and solvable feats. . How can we make sense of obstacles that damp many of our dreams and plans for life? How do we confront difficulties with curiosity and self-awareness

Being a person is hard work; our lives are complex and navigating the world is challenging even in the best of circumstances. What we all long for, a sense of wellness, is not just the absence of affliction, it is the presence of vitality. Each of us has the capacity for this vitality, where we live fully and whole-heartedly. Clients who find my services most helpful tend to be those who are looking for a new way of living, who seek a deeper understanding of their feelings, their relationships, and their life.

I view my client’s struggles as I would the struggles of all humans. Our struggles come from something that happened to us yet has become our responsibility to change. Whether it be a defense mechanism, modeled behavior from childhood, or traumatic incidents (acute or prolonged), there is a point in time when we must accept the burden of control. I like to say that we have more control over our lives than we’d like to be responsible for. When something devastating happens to us (a prick to the finger or a shattered heart) how we manage that pain determines our level of suffering, thus our quality of life.

Life can be challenging. My intention as a counselor is to help any individual I get the privilege of serving to lead a life of wholeness. With the right tools and support, each of us can heal and grow. As a mom and wife, I understand the unique challenges of parenting and relationships. Additionally, being a military spouse I have experienced multiple moves which have caused me to learn how to be resilient in the midst of change. As a counselor, I show up to each session open, honest, and prepared to assist you in unique ways. I look forward to connecting with you!

Maybe you've been hearing about stepping into "main-character energy" or becoming the hero/heroine of your own story. A voice nags, quietly but persistently, that life is passing you by or reminds you that you really "should" do that thing you've been meaning to do. You long to be in alignment with your core values and feel proud of the person your unique life's journey has shaped you into. Perhaps you'd simply like to be able to identify what your dream life looks like. Maybe the idea of becoming more attached to your growth than your suffering intrigues you, you're just not sure how one makes that shift. What's an author to do?

Life is a beautiful thing until one day you wake up to a nightmare. Feeling anger, anxious, betrayal, broken, defeated, loss, pain, or overwhelmed; unsure how to express your emotions or continue to live. Tired of hearing you are strong when in all actuality you feel yourself suffocating. I have been there and it is valid if you are too. A wise man once told me attack life's trials one nano second at a time and allow no one to take you out of your happy bubble. It's not the misery we face but the steps we take to overcoming those adversities to embrace your greatness. Healing is forever time to be free ReNana Your HeArt with me!

Are you struggling with unwanted thoughts about the past or scary things that could happen in the future? When having distressing thoughts, life can feel out of control. We may try to cope by avoiding situations that we once enjoyed. We may engage in compulsive behaviors that cause temporary relief but keep our thoughts and behaviors looping. Our relationships may also be impacted as we push people away or try to convince others of our worth. Through therapy, you can build security within yourself and in your relationships by facing your fears and responding in healthier ways that align with your goals and values.
