Life can be very stressful at times. Our moods, anxiety levels, thinking and behaviors can depend on how well we are able to manage these stressors over time. Sometimes, the coping skills we have learned simply are not enough and we feel overwhelmed and out of control. There is a solution to almost every problem. My goal in therapy is to provide a safe environment so that you can learn to better manage your thinking, feeling and behavior and regain control and power in your life.

I am committed to creating a safe space for whatever challenges you are going through. My practice is open to all ages, however I have focused my past clinical work on children and adolescents. I have a complex trauma certification and focused many of my previous career ventures on working with youth and families in either the foster care system or with highly acute and complex behavioral health needs.

I provide counseling for adults, youths (13+ years), and couples experiencing challenges such as depression, anxiety, decision-making skills, adjustment, intimacy, abuse, coping with medical conditions, and post-traumatic stress. I have an extensive background as a Registered Nurse (critical care) & 22+ years of experience counseling couples and individuals. I enjoy helping people navigate challenging periods of their lives by helping them 1) recognize barriers to a healthy and encouraging life experience, and 2) identify skills, tools, and resources needed to achieve a healthy & encouraging life experience.

I have worked extensively over the last 30 years with adolescents, couples, and families. My therapy consists of looking at present and past ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving so as to nurture hope, find solutions, and create meaning.
