I strongly focus on how Attachment within our family systems imprints on who we are and how we interact with the world around us and the people we love. I try to work within the space in which you are ready and eliminate the power dynamic that sometimes can be present when feeling the need for help. I feel that therapy can be empowering and incredibly clarifying as you navigate your intrinsic motivation and self worth.

I specialize in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, and ego state therapy in my practice but am experienced in a variety of therapies and want to ensure children and their families feel supported in whatever therapy model is chosen.

I have extensive experience over 15 years providing treatment and counseling services to all ages and populations. I specialize in autism treatment/support, personality disorders, complex trauma, mood disorders, ADHD, and narcissism. I work with people of all ages and provide individual, family, and marriage/couples counseling. My treatment method involves building a trusting relationship, being goal-oriented, and staying focused on what the client wants to improve in his or her life. I want the treatment experience to be real and positive for my clients. That is my ultimate goal.

I am not your conventional psychotherapist. My journey into the world of mental health is uniquely shaped by my background as a ski journalist and lived experiences of grief, loss, tragedy, and trauma. Driven by a desire to bridge my passion for storytelling with holistic healing, I use my sincere interest in the human experience in the therapy setting to treat adults, couples, and families living with shame, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, trauma, addiction, and life transitions and questions. I have over ten years of experience working with teens and adults under 50. Most of my clients, both male and female, are in some form of transition in their lives. These transitions present themselves as maturation struggles, changing relationships, questioning perspectives, contemplating choices, and finding difficulty with what currently faces them in their lives. These are the times when a trusted assistant is helpful. My clients need to know that they have a safe place, without judgement, to work through their struggles. I provide trust, support, education, and new skills training with each client.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker who has provided clinical care for over 21 years. My work focuses primarily in the areas of attachment and trauma with much experience in the areas of adoption, foster care, grief, loss, victimization issues, anxiety related disorders, parenting, and attachment and trauma related disorders with an emphasis on treatment of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

She has been in an independent practice in the Spokane-Seattle areas since January 2007. Her areas of expertise includes Complex Trauma (DID), PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, Phobias, Panic Attacks, Grief-Loss, Sexual Orientation, Self-Care, Effective Communication, Problem Solving, Substance Abuse, Consultation, and Stress Management.
