Teletherapy for anxiety, panic, OCD, and selective mutism - You feel like you can’t get out of your head. You try to distract yourself, but the “what if” worries won’t stop. You ask your friends and family if the worries are “logical”, and then realize you are asking the same question over and over again. Maybe you’re experiencing feelings of panic or other anxiety that stops you from being able to do the things you want to. You want to be more social, but you go blank when you are in a new situation. You can't stop putting pressure on yourself to be "productive" which often leads to more worries.

My post graduate training includes specialized training in CBT, ERP, OCD, Phobias, GAD, Social Anxiety/Phobia and Panic Disorder.
I am passionate about working with clients challenged by anxiety, stress and fears that prevent them from participating in activities they value, reaching goals, or sustaining satisfying relationships. Many clients come to me when worries, fears or thoughts have become unmanageable. They may have rigid rules, unrealistic expectations or patterns of perfectionism. Some find themselves avoiding situations or people out of fear. Together we explore ways to work through hard emotions, unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns.

I am a certified Exposure and Response Prevention therapist and love helping people with OCD.
Are you struggling with unwanted thoughts about the past or scary things that could happen in the future? When having distressing thoughts, life can feel out of control. We may try to cope by avoiding situations that we once enjoyed. We may engage in compulsive behaviors that cause temporary relief but keep our thoughts and behaviors looping. Our relationships may also be impacted as we push people away or try to convince others of our worth. Through therapy, you can build security within yourself and in your relationships by facing your fears and responding in healthier ways that align with your goals and values.

I am a psychologist specializing in OCD, PANS/PANDAS, anxiety, FNSD/conversion disorder, hoarding, panic attacks, school avoidance, skin-picking, and hair-pulling. I work with individuals ages 8-26. I take an individualized approach to treatment with a foundation of evidence-based strategies. I work with individuals and families to help manage symptoms in their normal, day-to-day life. Teletherapy gives me the opportunity to practice skills with you or your child at home or other environments anxiety impacts the most. I often conduct "exposures," which teaches skills to challenge anxiety in real-life situations.

Additionally, we offer support between sessions through direct messaging and a community of peers with OCD, ensuring you never feel alone.
My desire to help others overcome life's challenges stems from personal struggles I experienced as a teenager when I needed a therapist but didn't have access to one. I take a behavioral approach to treating OCD and love helping people gain insight into themselves, understanding why they think and behave the way they do. At NOCD, my team and I specialize in providing evidence-based treatment for OCD. Our deep understanding of its nuances allows us to diagnose and treat it accurately. We have received intensive training in Exposure Response and Prevention Therapy (ERP), the gold standard treatment for OCD.

I can provide specific evidence-based treatment regarding occurrences of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Anxiety, Mood related disorders, Specific Phobias, Psychosis-related disorders, Parenting issues, Identity issues, Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity/Impulsivity (ADHD), and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
My ideal client is tired of being stuck. They feel like they've been in motion, but haven't really moved. They have begun to recognize that the things they have tried just aren't cutting it. As difficult as this may be to admit, they recognize they need help.

Obsessive-Compulsive (OCD) Therapists
How long does OCD treatment take?
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is often treated on a weekly or twice-weekly schedule, depending on symptom severity and the client’s preferences. Some clients may start to see a noticeable improvement in symptoms in as little as six weeks, but it’s also possible, especially in more severe cases, for treatment to take several months to a year before significant progress is made.
What happens if OCD is not treated?
Some people with OCD, especially those with mild symptoms, may find that they are able to adapt reasonably well to life with the condition, even if their symptoms never resolve completely. However, many people, particularly those whose symptoms are severe at the outset, find that their obsessions and compulsions grow more intrusive with time, making it harder to maintain relationships, hold down a job, or navigate the world successfully.
Are there medications for OCD?
Medication can be used to treat OCD. The class of drugs most often prescribed are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors, or SSRIs, which include fluvoxamine (under the brand name Luvox), fluoxetine (Prozac), and sertraline (Zoloft), among others. In cases of treatment-resistant OCD, other classes of medication, such as tricyclic antidepressants or atypical antipsychotics, may be prescribed. Medication is frequently used in conjunction with therapy.
Can OCD come back after treatment?
Yes. Major life transitions, periods of stress, or other factors can cause symptoms to return or, if they were never fully eradicated, to ramp back up in intensity. For some, these relapses are brief and do not require additional treatment; identifying specific triggers and practicing the skills learned in therapy can help speed their course. For others, returning to therapy for a brief period can help address the underlying stress and strengthen coping mechanisms.
