" The primary modalities that inform my practice are gestalt, Buddhist psychology, psychodynamic, transpersonal, & attachment theory.
I help adults (18+) find deeper satisfaction in their lives and relationships through awareness-based and attachment-based interventions. All of us need support as we move through our lives because living inevitably brings suffering as part of the process. If you're experiencing distress and dissatisfaction, I want you to know you're doing nothing wrong. Let's explore how you can experiment with shifting your fixed habits so you can have new experiences that restore your hope, vitality, and ease. I bring an anti-oppressive lens to my work that considers social identities and systems of power as integral to your psychic life.

I pull from multiple modalities but my primary focus is based in Cognitive Enhancement Therapy (CET) , Functional Remediation for bipolar disorder, and Transpersonal Psychotherapy.
Have you reached a point where your own will has sabotaged your life? Either recognizing how small you are in the grand scheme of things, lack of ability to transcend stagnancy or break free from bad habits or symptoms that rob you of joy? I have found the difference between being alive and living is rooted in transcending your identity (or sense of self ) beyond one dimensional perspectives, and I utilize the medium of color (and archetypes) to create a bridge between the conscious and unconscious world that exists within, among, and around you.

My training in Transpersonal Psychology and Gestalt allows me to integrate themes from both traditional and non-traditional forms of healing, including working with core beliefs, behavioral change, dream work, somatic experiencing, and integrating meditation experiences.
Relationships shape our lives, and the quality of our lives depends on the quality of our relationships. Our deepest healing comes from understanding our relationships with ourselves and others. In doing so, we can transform painful connections into compassionate ones and create meaningful, enriching relationships. I am a relationally based therapist grounded in somatic work, mindfulness, and parts work. I hold a compassionate and curious space as you explore vulnerable truths, their origins, and what you need.

One of my goals is to assist you in accessing this deep evolutionary, and transpersonal orientation towards self-actualization or wholeness.
Healing is an intimate journey towards ever greater wholeness (acceptance, compassion, and integration of all parts of ourselves). I value the sacred opportunity to join alongside you. Therapy is a unique endeavor; one in which you the client and me as therapist collaborate to create a space for the unburdening of life’s stressors, of pain, grief, sorrow, and confusion as well as space to seek answers to existential questions about what gives life meaning; being witness to your growth as you unfurl, soften, and ultimately discover deeper compassion for self and others.

My practice helps individual adults and older adults closely study their lives so they can make effective and meaningful change. I blend the graduate education I received at Naropa University in transpersonal counseling with the post-graduate trainings I have focused on in Hakomi and IFS. I hold the view that my clients' problems and pain, no matter how distressing and debilitating, stand to be their greatest teachers. I choose to see the potential and not pathology in the people I serve. I respectfully meet my clients at their door so that we may embark on this journey of unfolding together.

I take a person-centered, transpersonal approach, and I view therapy as a collaborative process between myself and the client.
Are you feeling lost, untethered, or disconnected? Are you going through transitions that are causing you to question who you are and what you want in life? Did you used to feel very certain and confident and now struggle with indecision? Are you ready to peel back the layers and dive into the discomfort of the unknown? You've come to the right place. I work with clients who are ready to take healing into their own hands and be an active participant in the journey back to themselves.

Do you have trauma, anxiety or depression and feel ready to work on yourself? Perhaps you are new to therapy but feel motivated or inspired to heal and work through emotions, conflicts or blockages to living a more fulfilling life. Have you had other therapies but feel “it’s time” to go deeper and explore root causes of patterns and issues? Do you feel you are in an “awakening“ and hope to work with a Transpersonal Therapist to support the integration of your higher or Whole/Core Self?

As a transpersonal therapist and coach, the bulk of my work is holistic in nature. This means that we are working with your whole being (light and shadow, seen and unseen, conscious and unconscious, mind and soul) with the intention of healing old wounds and patterns—personally, ancestrally, collectively.

I was trained at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology in Palo Alto, CA.
My work with clients involves nonjudgemental listening, psycho-education, inquiry and self awareness. One important goal is to develop the capacity and willingness to tolerate the unpleasant feelings that come with every negative emotion. This work is done in the present moment and is little dependent on our past. The work usually goes quickly and very directly... but sometimes we need to go slow. A typical successful series might be 10-12 meetings. Spiritual matters are usually an important area of concern...What's really important? Is our behavior congruent with those values? So, please say more about that...

Transpersonal Therapists
How does transpersonal therapy work?
Transpersonal therapy focuses on a patient’s spirituality and meaning in life. Transpersonal therapists might borrow from Eastern traditions as well as Western psychology. They may incorporate techniques including meditation, visualization, hypnotherapy, dream analysis, and or breathwork to produce altered states of consciousness. The therapist helps the patient to access their consciousness and spirituality to work through difficult mental states.
How long does transpersonal therapy last?
Because the goal is to understand a person as a whole, including their spirituality, treatment can range from months to a year or beyond. While patients learn the philosophy behind transpersonal therapy during treatment, they can also practice its principles throughout life after therapy sessions have ended.
Is transpersonal therapy effective?
Patients have found success with transpersonal therapy; this method is useful in improving anxiety, depression, self-esteem, identity, fears, relationship problems, and other concerns. Improvements in problem areas can continue even after transpersonal therapy ends, as individuals can utilize the tools they’ve learned during treatment sessions.
What are the limitations of transpersonal therapy?
There is some research on the effectiveness of transpersonal therapy, but empirical support for this therapy approach is sparse. It does not have the robust evidence base of other forms of therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy.
