My clients are individuals, couples, families and groups across the life span. I work with children, youth, adults and elders. If you are facing a difficult life transition, I will accompany you through your anxiety, grief, depression, trauma or other challenges. I offer services to Veterans and their families through a grant from King County. I offer teletherapy.

As a clinical psychologist with extensive training and experience, I am proficient in addressing a wide range of mental health issues across all age groups. Presently, my practice is focused solely on adult clients, and I specialize in assisting individuals navigating various life transitions, grappling with issues of self-esteem, managing stress, trauma, grief, and loss.

Making the decision to become well holistically is being proactive with your life encompassing the mind, body and spirit. By engaging in therapy you are taking the first step to obtaining the skills you need to reach your goals, gain useful knowledge and feel empowered. I work from a variety of treatment models, unique to each individual and situation.

I am personally and professionally familiar with geek and gaming culture, and believe these experiences and identities have a place in a successful therapeutic relationship. Further, I have experience working with lesbian, gay, and bisexual individuals, and all members of the LGBTQ+ community are welcome clients. I believe in the power of community that is built on shared values and experiences. I'm David Bradshaw, I am from Washington State, and I currently live in Birch Bay WA. I was born in 1990, I'm an avid reader, I also enjoy Chess, Meditation, Backpacking, Hunting, and Boxing. I'm a bit of a nerd as well, and I build my own desktop computers. I would say the Pasayten Wilderness Area is one of my happy places. I practice Adlerian Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I work with clients aged 12 and up, including adults and couples. I am also a Clinical Supervisor and can train new counselors helping them earn hours toward their licensure.

Dr. Whitmer treats individuals, couples, and families. His doctoral training in clinical psychology has prepared him to treat many mental health disorders with various interventions. Dr. Whitmer is board certified as a Certified Forensic Mental Health Evaluator and a Forensic Vocational Expert. He is nationally certified as Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, and is International Psychometric Evaluation Certified. Dr. Whitmer is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State.

I am a practicing licensed marriage and family therapist. For the past 10 years I have worked in the crisis mental healthcare system. There I encountered clients at some of the worst times in their lives. I created a space and container for them to be in the moment. To be messy, to be where they were at that stage of discomfort, and be able to sit with that. I worked with some of the world's most marginalized and disenfranchised populations who were in a constant struggle of survival with a system that was deliberately built against them.
