People who work with me are often questioning whether their eating/body image issues are "bad" enough to get help. They struggle with wanting to know the right thing to do with food and exercise. They often feel guilty for caring so much about their weight and what they eat, but they don't know how to change their thoughts and behaviors. They are intrigued by the idea of eating intuitively, but are terrified of exploring it. They just want to feel comfortable in their own skin for once, and to not have to worry about food or weight.

Taking care of our health, especially in a fast-paced society that demands immediate results, requires taking the time to slow down and understand the specific individual and the systems in which they operate. Without this information, it is challenging to effectively make long lasting change. Based on my own human and educational experience, I don’t believe in a "one size fits all" theoretical approach. My style is intentional, direct, and clever, tailored around you and your expertise living in your life experience.

As humans, I find that when we’re able to get quiet for a while, slow down, and start to feel safe, things begin to open up… Wounds that haven’t gotten to heal. Emotions and thoughts that we’ve needed to compartmentalize. Grief and difficult truths. And when we feel well supported to stay with this process for some time, at our own pace, other things begin to open up too… Sensations of release and relief. Emerging clarity and understanding. A more expansive sense of who we are, including our choices and voice.

Hello, my name is Brianna Lewis. I first want to say thank you for being here. As a clinician it is always an honor to hold space for you on your healing journey. Self-acceptance and alignment is what we will work towards by unburdening "parts" of who you are, healing your inner child, and uncovering your authentic Self. With adequate knowledge, support, and skills you can move away from limiting beliefs that impact your self-esteem and release traumas keeping you stuck. We can also identify areas of potential growth that will result in increased self-awareness, positive relationships & healthy boundaries.

I enjoy helping my clients find their unique strengths and building on them in a confidential and supportive setting. I feel it is important for people to gain understanding and insight into behavior patterns that are creating problems in life and learn how to change them. I also work with clients to enable them to find a satisfying work/life or school/life balance. I utilize cognitive behavioral and brief solution focused therapy.

I love working with people, and I use a warm and compassionate approach, not without direct and honest feedback. I'm often described as gentle and grounding, providing a comfortable space for the work of therapy.
