I have a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Embodied Creative Arts Therapy, prior certification in chemical dependency/addiction counseling, and certification at EMDR.
Are you feeling stuck? What's getting in the way of living a satisfying life, one with heart and meaning? You may be coming to therapy because of a new development or something very old, you may not even know what it is. You may also be adding to your burden by judging your self unfairly. But there is hope, therapy can usher in exciting transformation. When we can embrace the gifts that come with challenges, old fears lose their power. I deeply enjoy helping clients explore/work through difficulties with the purpose of breaking old patterns and intentionally creating a new path forward. Healing and growth is possible for you too.

I utilize an eclectic mix of interventions from different somatic and trauma-informed modalities ( EMDR) to help each person address the struggles that keep them from being able to change and heal in life.
The Glory of God is a human being fully alive". -Saint Irenaeus As a clinician, I work with individuals struggling with a variety of issues and ailments. I believe that most recurring mental and emotional struggles are actually indicators of larger issues in need of resolution. In our work together we will both engage the symptoms you are experiencing AND trace their historical connections so that you can access a more transformative and holistic healing.

Brainspotting/ EMDR trained, I approach therapy with a humanistic mindset, focused on developing insight to overcome the barriers that are preventing you from fully living life.
Opening up around the vulnerable and intimate details of our lives can be very uncomfortable. There is so much pressure to be “happy”, “better”, or “perfect”, while receiving messaging that being anything else is unacceptable. We are very adaptive yet often struggle to effectively get our needs met, so may engage in avoidance behaviors and withhold or internalize our feelings to try to prevent things from getting worse. You want to feel more like your true self and get more satisfaction out of your relationships. You need an unconditionally supportive, non-judgmental, creative, and humorous therapist who accepts you however you are.

As a Certified EMDR Therapist and Consultant, I can help you resolve internal blocks, overcome stress or trauma, and optimize performance.
There's a difference between talk therapy and how I can help you. If you're feeling stuck or overwhelmed, too reactive toward others, struggling to perform at your best, or having sleep issues - these are common signs of someone with unresolved stress or trauma. Fortunately I have tools to help you truly change, achieving the life you know you’re capable of.

Sessions can include traditional talk therapy while sitting or walking; grief retreats, or EMDR and parts work intensives.
I am inspired by our ability to withstand and get through tremendous pain. Yet, in a cultural system that perpetuates trauma and oppression, it can be difficult to embody the sense of whole-ness that we desire. I want to walk alongside you in reclamation of your resiliency and vibrancy, finding your most alive self. Whether you are dealing with mental health issues related to trauma, oppression, isolation, relationships, impulsivity, grief, or other life pains; I want to center what matters to you, hold what you have to say with compassion, and help you rediscover a fullness in being alive and in your body.

Let’s explore how EMDR intensives and my down-to-earth approach might be the right fit for you.
The Millennial urge to doomscroll, binge true crime docs, and dissociate is real... but deep down, there's a part of you screaming for change. You’ve been carrying the weight of trauma for too long —whether it’s from childhood, a divorce, sudden loss, or another painful experience that left a mark—and it’s affecting your relationships, work, and overall vibe. You want to feel more joy and connect genuinely with yourself and others, getting out of your head and into the present moment. The longer you carry this, the heavier it gets. You deserve to feel lighter, to heal, and to finally move forward—now, not later. I want that for you!

This is why I am here, to help you navigate the tangled web of relationships and trauma, build the skills you need to engage your story with honesty and kindness, and to find the healing you long for.

I draw from attachment theory, psychodynamic and Buddhist psychology, CBT, DBT, Family Systems, EMDR & Mindfulness.
We each have the ability to adapt, overcome adversity, feel joy and sorrow, love, and reach our highest potential. Stressful life events, trauma, loss, conflicts, illness, and transitions can overwhelm our ability to cope. Healing becomes blocked. We become stuck. We protect and defend ourselves to avoid ever feeling that pain again. Solutions that once worked become part of the problem. When the traumatic wound is triggered, we experience intense emotion and distorted ways of thinking. In therapy, we journey together to uncover and remove the blocks to healing, transforming pain and loss into meaning, awareness, and choice.

I am also trained in and utilize EMDR, an evidence-based treatment that can be helpful in treating many issues that include trauma, anxiety, depression, and panic.
Life is wild, beautiful, messy, and a struggle at times. I believe the world can stand to be more compassionate, understanding, curious, and hopeful. That is why I chose to pursue counseling, and I strive to bring this into the therapeutic space. Therapy is a space for growth and healing, and I am here to explore that with you. I also use EMDR for athletes who have trauma, and are stuck in unhealthy patterns and want to rewire their brain to be less anxious.
I help athletes who struggle with anxiety, perfectionism and overthinking. If you have a hard time letting go of mistakes, have overwhelming anxiety and feel like you can never do enough (both in your sport and life), I hear you. I also see a lot of athletes who struggle with body image and their relationship to food. Struggling with anxiety can be overwhelming, exhausting and make life (on and off the court) so much harder than it needs to be. If you want to improve your sport performance without negative or anxious thoughts constantly swirling, I am here to help.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified EMDR Therapist (1 out of 5 in the Lehigh Valley).
I know how infuriating it can be to find a therapist you can connect with, as I have personally fired 6 out of 7 of my own therapists. It’s important to note that I’m not your “typical therapist” (I dye my hair bright colors, will curse with you during sessions, and actively compete in powerlifting).

EMDR Therapists

Who is EMDR for?

EMDR was initially developed as a treatment for individuals with Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), for whom memories of a deeply distressing experience can be inadvertently triggered by random everyday events. The procedure has since been applied in the treatment of many other conditions. For example, it is used by some therapists to treat anxiety disorders including panic and phobias, depression, dissociative disorders, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, and some personality disorders. It is suitable for adolescents and adults.

Why do people need EMDR?

People need EMDR as a way to manage distressing memories that in some way hamper the ability to function in the present. The procedure is believed to target the way memories are stored in the brain. Evidence indicates that past disturbing experiences cause ongoing distress because they were not adequately processed, and when such memories are triggered in the present, they are accompanied by all the emotions, thoughts, and physical sensations as the initial experience.

What problems does EMDR treat?

First and foremost, EMDR is intended as a treatment for PTSD, to defuse distressing memories that intrude on and impair everyday functioning. It is also often used to help those who are subject to panic attacks, phobias, and other forms of anxiety. In addition, EMDR has been used to treat individuals with depression, eating disorders, and personality disorders.

What happens in EMDR therapy?

First the therapist takes an individual’s history, and then the therapist and client decide which distressing experience(s) will be the target(s) of the exercise, delivered via a side-to-side visual stimulus requiring lateral eye movements. The client will be asked to activate thoughts, feelings, and any body sensations related to the troubling experience. The eye movements are said to reduce the emotional charge of the memory, so that the experience can then be safely discussed with the therapist and digested, minimizing its ability to trigger anxiety.
