Through evidenced based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems, I have worked with families and young children you have been impacted by trauma, LGBTQ+ youth and young adults, and people experiencing anxiety and depression.
I'm a big believer that we all want connection. In today's world, however, this can be increasingly difficult, and our sense of disconnection can manifest in numerous ways. Therefore the cornerstone of my work is building connection between myself and the person I work with. Through the container of this relationship, I aim to offer a warm and welcoming space to engage in curious self-reflection at your own pace, explore your thought and behavior patterns, and work towards your goals. And when we we can engage your own strengths and interests in the process, all the better!

For anxiety issues, I use CBT, Exposure & Response Prevention (ERP) & Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT).
You were never meant to feel scared of your own mind or be fearful of what today might bring. You want to be able to stop fighting so hard. You want relief from fear & panic; you want freedom from obsessive thoughts & rumination; you want to feel at home in your own body & mind again. Your intrusive thoughts & urges rob you of your values & goals, making your life much smaller than it should be. Whether it’s the thought spirals & rituals of OCD, the fear & avoidance of phobias & panic, the shame of skin-picking/hair-pulling, or the inner restlessness & self-loathing of ADHD: with a safe space & a few good tools, relief is possible.

I work by utilizing aspects of CBT, DBT, ACT, trauma-informed care, neuropsychology, and motivational interviewing.
Due to my social work background, I approach therapy with one initial goal: to meet someone where they’re at. This means utilizing the unique strengths, experiences, and identities inherent within each person to help them live fuller, happier, more meaningful lives. All work done in therapy is built on a true collaboration, where a client can present themselves as they are and use tools presented by the therapist to gently challenge them, and help them navigate whatever they’re struggling with. My clients are mainly individuals experiencing depression, difficult life changes, anxiety, and trauma.

My desire is to sit with those who are hurting and to walk alongside those who are on a journey towards healing, wholeness, or personal growth.

Some of the EBPs that inform my treatment plans are acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
Everyone experiences difficulty and pain, and for many of us, these stressors also prevent us from leading our most fulfilling lives. Oftentimes we may not even know why we feel or act a certain way, only that there must be a better option. I work with those 18+ who are trying to overcome these challenges to live effective and fulfilled lives, whatever their circumstance. I use a Humanistic approach in therapy, focusing on understanding your perspective to collaboratively achieve your goals.

My work is rooted in evidence-based work from the gottman method, emotionally focused therapy, & cognitive-behavioral based approaches.
Do you find yourself spending hours going in circles talking or thinking about something with no resolution, & in the end feel unheard and alone? Which then in turn perpetuates worries, the inability to trust your own thoughts, & then feeling like its better to do everything on your own. Without connection we are merely surviving & perpetuating the idea that we have to experience this life on our own. While under the surface we wonder why we feel out of control and lost.

I have extensive training in evidenced-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and trauma-focused treatments (CPT, PE).
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience providing individual and group therapy services. I begin the therapeutic process with a discussion of your current symptoms and challenges, your strengths, goals, life experiences, and aspects of your identity that help us better understand your unique circumstances. We then collaboratively develop treatment goals and an individualized plan to help you meet your goals. Ultimately, I aim to help you feel confident in your ability to navigate stressors, regulate emotions, and feel strongly connected to your values.

I work with individuals and couples. I have found that the most content humans are the ones who have created enough internal space to allow all the parts of themselves to coexist despite the contradictions. Have you ever stopped to wonder about all the parts of you? Why am I excited and terrified at the same time? Why am I trying to please other people but harsh on myself? "Parts Work" is a creative exploration; being a compassionate witness to your own pain. Let's bring some self awareness to your patterns in order to choose how you want to show up for yourselves and others. (With Couples I also use Gottman Method and CBT)
