My counseling approach centers around frameworks of cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy, however I make sure to draw from other theoretical orientations in order to better meet your goals for treatment.
I enjoy seeing clients from all walks of life and have a deep respect for anyone willing to take the leap to begin their healing. Whether you are seeking therapy for new positive coping skills, processing current stressors, or simply needing support- with a collaborative approach to treatment, I believe that change is possible.

I utilize evidence-based practices ( CBT and ACT) with clients as we work to build a therapeutic relationship and space where we can explore what is most valuable to them.
I specialize in supporting adults and adolescents (16+) navigating grief and loss, whether from recent events or long-held pain. I create a safe space for clients to explore their unique experiences, including the impact of chronic illness and oppression related to sexism, racism, homophobia, and transphobia. In a world facing challenges like climate change and social injustices, many also experience collective grief. Together, we’ll understand how these experiences shape your relationships and find more bearable ways to carry your grief, fostering resilience and meaning in your life.

As hard as we try to avoid it, pain and suffering creep into our lives and make us feel heavy, stuck, and hopeless. However, it doesn't have to stay that way. Together, we can create a space to heal and grow from the pain you've been carrying. It starts by carefully unpacking your story and the experiences that have brought you here. Then, we will work toward discovering a path to greater hope and freedom. The core of my practice is relational and psychodynamic, and the treatment options I use include cognitive behavioral therapy ( CBT), emotion focused therapy (EFT), and narrative therapy.

My previous work as a family therapist within a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy partial-hospitalization program, and perinatal counselor within a Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy agency allows me to support families, couples and clients with a wide range of evidence-based skills and practices.
I support families, couples and individuals nurture the capacity for honest self reflection, discovery, discernment and change. Beyond the initial reason for engaging in therapy, I often help people and their loved ones explore the underlying patterns in behaviors, relationships and life engagement that hinder growth, satisfaction and peace. Together we create an environment where you can safely address the situations, challenges, and often pain that brought you and your family to counseling while learning skills, tools, techniques and approaches to support you and your family outside of therapy.

My work is mindfulness based, with a focus on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ( CBT).
I work with people who are feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or like their emotions are out of control… they feel like they're on a treadmill, trying so hard but getting nowhere, relationships aren’t what they want them to be, maybe they don’t have enough energy to do things and rest isn’t restful. Or maybe it’s that they're not making progress on meaningful things and instead seem caught up in surviving day-to-day.

Along with my role as a statewide trainer and consultant with expertise in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp) for the University of WA Dept of Psychiatry, I support private clients with a wide range of issues, offer clinical supervision for mental health professionals, & offer consultation & trainings for co-occurring disorders and CBT & CBTp.
Thoughts, feelings and behaviors, which we often aren't even aware of, can keep us cycling in painful patterns of suffering, and may deepen those patterns over time. Through exploring our experience in a safe and compassionate space, we have the opportunity to see more clearly the patterns that aren't supporting our wellness or allowing us to live in line with what's truly valuable to us, and to learn tools that move us toward a more fulfilling existence, regardless of how difficult our life circumstances may feel to us.
