Your subconscious wiring is creating your current life. Let us gently rewire and recode. You may feel trapped in your own mind or feeling stuck. The therapeutic relationship between a client and a therapist allows for authentic, honest communication that can feel like a breath of fresh air after going through life telling people we are “fine” when we aren't. We all have a complex and emotional story to tell. I want to help you align with your true desires and values so that you can create the life you want. You get to have abundance, ease, grace, and peace.

My ideal client is a married couple with relationship challenges and I use some of the Gottman material. I also thrive while working with women or men facing depression or anxiety in addition to those who are transitioning to the golden years of life.

I love supporting folks through significant life changes! Themes include: managing the shift from high school to college/college to career, opening up or closing a relationship, gender identity discovery and transition, a career change that involves taking a risk, or what to do when things are going well! I also offer Coaching services to those wanting to explore creative outlets (art, writing, performance, etc. ) for personal enrichment or income potential. This also applies to someone already working in a Creative field that needs to bring joy back into their work.

It is difficult to deal with strong feelings of anger, guilt sadness, grief, fear, or worry on your own. At the same time, it can be extremely difficult to let others around you know when you need help. You may have even been told that you just need to "tough it out", and "deal with it" all on your own. I'm here to say that you don't have to. Managing difficult emotions is easier said than done when going through stressful situations such as losing a loved one, ending a relationship, or dealing with financial stress. I am here if you are ready to make positive changes in your life, and are tired of doing it alone.

When we feel that we belong to the world, then we can move through it with confidence and courage, open to growth and happiness. There are plenty of things to worry about as a kid, and today’s culture does not necessarily make it easier. But children do not have to go at it alone! Feelings of despair, loneliness, and inauthenticity are completely normal for many kids and young adults. No one lives alone with these feelings, even though it may feel this way. Through a genuine counseling relationship, kids can begin to believe much deeper in their strengths than in their shortcomings.

I am passionate to assist clients with healing the mind, body and spirit while seeing each person as an individual in the context of their environment. I use a relational, humanistic, client centered and strength-based approach with an attachment lens while acknowledging that each individual is unique and motivated through free will to achieve their highest potential. I hold space for vulnerability and acceptance during each session. I work with BIPOC identified people with their intersectionalities and how it relates to systemic oppression and other nuances of identifying as BIPOC.

Prioritizing mental health today can be so difficult to do today, but is important now more than ever. Along with prioritizing mental health, many of us engage in school, work, relationships, family dynamics, and friendships. After a while, many of these pressures may start to affect us in different ways leading us to experience anxiety, stress, bouts of sadness, irritability, and so much more. I did not even mention any unresolved trauma or feelings that may be experienced on top of everything else! Therapy is a safe place to work through many of these issues, with undeniable positive regard and support.

We are truly living in troubled times, globally and personally. Many of us find ourselves fluctuating between feelings of anxiety and/or depression. At 67 years old, I’ve spent nearly half my life – 35 years – as a Marriage and Family Therapist/Psychotherapist. Adding Hypnotherapy to my practice has been a game changer, and that, along with friends, colleagues, and many clients, I’ve learned ways of managing my thinking and thereby managing my emotions. This is what I do in my private practice and I can help you to do the same.

Whether you are looking for a safe place to engage in self-reflection, an outlet to talk through your thoughts and feelings, an opportunity to develop coping skills, or all of the above, my goal as your therapist is to facilitate that process. As a humanistic and person-centered practitioner, I believe that each individual's natural tendency is toward growth and self-actualization when provided with the right conditions to thrive.

Hello, we are accepting new patients! Whether you're feeling down or anxious, struggling with hurtful and dysfunctional familial dynamics, having difficulty achieving a healthy work-life balance and/or enduring or wanting to heal from past or current traumas, you have found an ally. Developmental, relational and attachment trauma disconnects us from ourselves, our loved ones and even our spirituality. These types of traumas can leave us feeling isolated, unfulfilled and despondent. We all deserve to feel at peace - and that begins by learning how to heal.

Too often we are harmed in relationship with others, and it is my belief that meaningful change is attainable when we tap into our body’s inner wisdom within the bounds of safety, trust, and authentic connection in the therapeutic relationship. Oppressive structures, trauma, or shame can obstruct and diminish our sense of selves. My role is to support you in gaining insight and clarifying what is important to you, to reconnect with your intuition and find wholeness once again. No one can heal in isolation, and I consider it an honor to witness your pain and journey with you.

Therapy can be a powerful vehicle for insight and self-discovery. Working together, we will explore self-defeating thoughts, patterns, and behaviors so that you can cultivate a more compassionate and loving relationship with yourself and others. As we move through a process of self-discovery, one that recognizes your unique strengths, I will help you gain insight and balance so that you can more effectively meet life’s challenges and create lasting change. I believe in the resilience of the human spirit and heart to transcend and transform personal challenges.
