There are moments in our lives when we know we're done; done with a job, a relationship, a belief system, a way of life. At these moments, there is a choice to be made - retreat and play it safe, or move forward into a new way of being? I am a woman who has chosen to be an "Edge Walker," an "Artist/Healer;" giving full expression to the "Wild Gypsy Woman" within me. If you are at a "done" moment in your life, and feel ready to break free of the chains that bind you, call me.

Therapy is something you have probably contemplated for awhile. It takes a lot of courage to work on tough issues that are making your life less fulfilling than you have envisioned. People seek counseling for different reasons. It can be something from your past that you feel it is time to work on, relationship disharmony, or help finding your direction and motivation to reach your goals. I work with you to overcome whatever blocks are in the way of living the life you want to live. The important thing is to bring more joy into your life.

Together, we create a safe, compassionate space where you are seen and understood. By addressing both past and present issues, we work towards healing and improving your life. My goal is to help you feel more empowered, hopeful and deeply connected with your authentic self.

As a therapist, I believe in being genuine, respectful and empathetic. For a therapeutic relationship to develop, clients need to feel seen and understood. I strive to help my clients understand their own emotions, cope with difficult feelings, improve their relationships with themselves and the people they care about. Years ago, as a beginning therapist, I was influenced by research showing that the critical therapeutic element in psychotherapy, regardless of the discipline, was the relationship between the therapist and the client. Contemporary research confirms the importance of relationship in fostering therapeutic change.

I’ve been coaching women to love themselves clear down to their bones for over a decade.
Have you ever wondered "why am I still stuck despite all the work I've done?" Do you ever feel trapped, repeating the same cycles and stories over and over again, no matter what you "heal" or "fix"? If you’re anything like me, you built your life around being easy to get along with. You are selfless, and helpful. Your reputation is book-ended on performing under pressure and managing on a shoestring. You hide your vulnerable bits under your general competence, a thick armor of humor, and always being there for everyone else. But underneath all that, you doubt yourself. A LOT!

I'll companion with you to identify and achieve goals for healing and life satisfaction.
Can you imagine that it's possible to behold your journey as an opportunity for growth, healing and enriched connections? What would it be like to know that you have the capacity to hold both grief and gratitude? It could be that you have come to a cross-road or are standing on significant thresholds as you face transitions, challenges and decision-making. Maybe grief has cracked you open, or you are struggling with illness and long to discover meaning and balance once again. Perhaps you have an emergent sense that there is “something more” that you are yearning for?

I specialize in couples counseling, life transitions, and relationship issues of all kinds, and help those who are overwhelmed, discouraged, or in conflict solve their problems.
In my 40 years as a psychologist my goal has been to provide the safe nurturing environment that creates a productive client/therapist relationship. I have never forgotten my early experiences in seeking help from a therapist, wondering what it would be like, and if it would really help. I appreciated the understanding and insight I received then, and throughout my life, sometimes with my husband, I have found different kinds of therapy that were helpful to me and to my clients.

You will now have a person in your corner who will help guide you through one of the most critical periods of your life without the fears of judgment, shame, disappointment, or personal agendas.
Is anxiety, overwhelm & past trauma making you feel like the walls are caving in? You’ve done everything “right” in life, only to realize that hasn’t made life any easier. Maybe you are one of those high achievers who succeeds at everything or a people-pleaser terrified of confrontation. Either way – you feel out of control & ashamed because - why can’t you figure this mental health stuff out? On top of all this, you are at a time of great transition, change & growth. Learning to be an adult in a scary & unpredictable world can feel very lonely & crushing. Especially a world that can feel like it’s going off the rails.

Instead of "talking" about life, in our sessions I direct you to experience feelings and sensations as they arise.

Most clients feel relief starting in the first session and continue to improve over time by noticing the small changes they have made that lead to a more satisfying life.
Do you find yourself thinking: "I'm too much, too emotional, too broken?" It seems like the littlest things stress you out and send you into a spiral. Maybe you emotionally eat, have social anxiety, difficulty concentrating, or chronic migraines. Your life feels like it's out of control, you’re hard on yourself for any mistake you make, you struggle with rejection and abandonment. These are all symptoms of complex trauma. It is time to process what has happened to you and move forward without the burdens of the past.

Life Coaching Therapists
What can I expect from life coaching?
Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.
Can a life coach help treat anxiety?
Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.
Can life coaching be done online?
Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.
How long does life coaching last?
Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
