I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, as well as those who have experienced trauma in their lives. I have worked with clients of all ages with a variety of issues and needs. There are times we need extra support and counsel in order to bring about healing and change. This process of healing could include challenging harmful thoughts and behaviors, addressing self-worth, learning to navigate through difficulties, and gaining insight for lasting change.

Who, really, is able to hear, feel, and see you . . . bless and name your glory and shame? Only those who continue to do their own courageous work of daring to be truly heard, felt, and seen. I enjoy working with people who are interested in exploring their story. Often we face struggle and trauma in our life that cause us to behave in certain ways. My clients are often asking themselves why they behave in a certain way even if it is not working for them. They are curious about how past hurts and struggles may still be impacting them to this day.

Marilyn Baker is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate with experience in corporate and nonprofit sectors working with diverse populations and internationally. She has been involved in Christian ministry since 2016 and received her graduate degree from Western Seminary. She focuses on providing direct counseling services to those in high-stress work environments and those struggling with chronic physical or emotional burdens.

Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma including PTSD or sexual abuse, abandonment, or other difficult circumstances, it would be my honor to help you learn practical tools to move toward complete healing and wholeness. I have extensive clinical experience working with patients with a variety of backgrounds and mental health conditions. If you feel stuck in a rut and you’ve been tempted to give up, I will come alongside you to lift you out of the darkness and into the light. My passion is to help all parents create an environment where their kids, whether adopted or biological, with developmental trauma can thrive. I have many years of experience working with traumatized kids and providing support for the parents that love them.
