My passion for serving children and families comes from my own personal work and process with my own healing, the many children in my life, and seeing what a difference a skilled clinician can make in a child’s life.
I work with children, caregivers, and families to support children and teens in overcoming anxiety, emotional regulation issues, depression, school refusal, and sensory processing concerns. I love helping children with big feelings through life’s inevitable changes as they struggle to manage their systems in school and at home. Serving children involves treating the entire system and collaborating with caregivers, other providers, and families. If you and your family are struggling with your child or teens mental health, I would love to see how I may be able to help!

Returning to our child-like nature, eco-art therapy is deep, powerful and meaningful play that can change your life.
I am passionate about helping clients heal and transform through an eco-art therapeutic approach that combines art, nature and play. Working and playing in a natural setting, I offer a variety of mediums to encourage growth, both indoors and out. This allows an emergent and imaginative approach to therapy that adapts to fit the unique needs of each individual, couple, family and group. Moving from sand tray to clay, collage to art journaling, clients can walk outdoors on paths that meander past waterways and through old growth forests. With labyrinths, meditative walks and an enormous sound chamber, I offer many creative outlets.

I believe that life is about pathways.
To quote Mariah Carey, “Love takes time.” I am a relational therapist, which means our working relationship and your relationships with others are incredibly important to me. Building relationships takes time and trust. Perhaps you have some life experiences that cause you to distrust others and maybe even distrust yourself. Maybe you're feeling anxious or depressed. I want to work with you to heal old hurts, understand current experiences, and help you learn to live and love fully. Reliving the past can be painful, but there is knowledge to gain from it. And maybe, in time, more love for yourself.

I draw from a humanistic perspective alongside cognitive-behavioral therapy to address personal issues as they restrict your ability to enjoy your life.
I meet clients where they are at in their personal process: your needs guide the counseling session. My depth of experience underpins my work as a clinician. My goal is for you to feel heard and understood, which allows you to make positive lasting changes. Conditions treated with success in working with younger to older adults include life dissatisfaction, anxiety, depression, grief, social isolation, relationship concerns, panic attacks, compulsive and addictive behaviors, identity struggles and those suffering from PTSD. I have additional training in treating women and their families impacted by postpartum depression.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
