Alive Holistic Counseling is an integrative counseling clinic that uses client-centered, strengths-based therapies to help people achieve their personal goals and cultivate authenticity in their relationships. Our therapists are specially trained in holistic therapies such as EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Hypnotherapy, and Hakomi that enable clients to go deeper into their healing journey. Our focus on evidence-based approaches that integrate the body with the busy mind allow for work to go beyond what keeps us trapped in old patterns of being.

I provide individual psychotherapy and grief counseling sessions to adult individuals ages 18 and older and I can give state approved supervision to LMHCA's seeking licensure in the state of WA. I have a particular passion and expertise in grief/bereavement/loss, compassion fatigue, anxiety disorders, career counseling, LGBTQIA+, and transgender/gender dysphoria issues. I especially enjoy working with the young adult/college student phase of life and adults who find themselves on the brink of, or in the aftermath, of life altering decisions.

Taking new clients! I love helping clients who are experiencing low self-esteem, low self-confidence, imposter syndrome, grief, anxiety, loneliness, and depression. Many of my clients also have complex trauma. I enjoy helping moms through the perinatal period, exploring cultural identities, as well as exploring family of origin issues. I am also interested in helping people navigate career burnout, ADHD, and decision-making. My style is warm, inviting, and down-to-earth. I am passionate about empowering people to discover their innate strength, power, resilience even when faced with hardship, loss, and suffering.

Often the goal of therapy is for clients to develop the capacity to resolve personal problems with the support of a therapist. The clinicians at Counseling Services for Wellbeing work collaboratively with the clients to build on their existing strengths, enhance relationships, increase and procure a support system and obtain the necessary skills and tools to lead a happier and more fulfilling life. We strive to work in a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, tailoring to each client’s individual needs and goals to help achieve the personal growth they are striving for.

I ask that all my clients come to therapy as authentic themselves as possible, and I will do the same. I am a fatally flawed human who continues to work on my own stuff, while providing the place and space for you to grow. I encourage you to show up for yourself and as yourself. Nothing is off limits or too much to talk about! You are accepted here. I enjoy working with adult women and those in helping professions (educators, nurses, etc.) working through depression, anxiety, navigating adulthood, illness/cancer, relationship issues, adjustment stress and balancing roles. I believe therapy should be helpful and enjoyable.

UPDATE: Current availability for telehealth sessions! Limited open spots on Tuesdays and will open Thursday availability in September. Seeking therapy can be an exciting, scary, and/or overwhelming decision. I am here to help make that decision a positive one of personal empowerment. I am passionate about working with young adults and women. I have worked with varieties of clients from individuals going through life transitions to adolescents with complex issues. Finding a therapist that you connect with is critical to your journey. I believe in the power of the therapeutic relationship and work to create an environment where each person feels listened to and valued as a unique being on their path to complete wellness. I place great emphasis on connection between client and therapist while at the same time using direct approaches to guide my clients to healing and discovery.

I deeply believe in your ability to find peace, develop your intuition and wisdom to make your own choices about your life, and create new meaning and find healing from trauma, including systemic and intergenerational trauma. I am a humanistic, existentially oriented, compassion-focused Internal Family Systems (IFS) trained therapist who sees clients in Oregon, Washington, and California. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and strive for inclusivity and curiosity for all people. I work with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, transitions, grief and loss, indecision, school/work stress, and relationship conflicts, among other issues.

Hello my name is Katie and it is nice to meet you. I am currently taking new patients, teens 14 and older, and adults in Oregon and Washington. I have served in the field for 12 years and welcome populations of all demographics, ethnicities and cultures. I have extensive experience in school based settings assisting with issues such as complex trauma, self harm, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, life transitions, divorce, adoption, children in the foster system, parent coaching, and other issues.
