My specialties are managing depression/anxiety, healing trauma, and relationship enhancement. I also enjoy working with individuals and families facing addiction, especially process addictions such as social media, pornography, gambling, and food. My style is best described as experiential, which means that we learn and grow through experience (rather than being told what to do). I view everyone's problems in the context of their life, history, and relationships. As a somatic practitioner, I believe that our body is our most effective healing tool.

My clients are youth struggling with social/parental expectations, being judged, understanding social cues, establishing deeper connections with others, being confused about themselves, having low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, trauma, and addictions. Struggles exacerbate with a history of being bullied, dysfunctional families, trauma, and health concerns such as being underweight, insomnia, abdominal pain, brain fog, and learning difficulties. My clients want to have freedom, be listened to, and explore the world with their ideas to find who they are without being judged.

I would love to help you break and remake your paradigm of what’s possible in therapy and in your relationship.
If you’re tired of recycling the same argument, walking on eggshells with each other or don’t know how to repair your relationship, I can help you get to the root of your disconnection. I help distressed, disconnected couples remember what it's like to be sexy best friends instead of roommates. Together, we will identify your entrenched ways of arguing so that both of you can break these patterns by learning how to clearly state how you’re feeling to your partner and in turn, listen deeply. I'll help you pay close attention to each other, so that you both feel a little more held each time we meet.

Even when we recognize that some of our emotional pain is unnecessary, it can still be challenging to understand why we experience this extra suffering and how to alleviate it. Anxiety, depression, trauma reactivation, relationship difficulties, and unhealthy coping strategies are common responses to life experiences and circumstances. Do they need to hurt so and are we stuck with them? Therapy is a great place to gain perspective on what you can change. Also, to widen the horizon from managing pain to living more fully like yourself and to thriving. Because, as Thich Nhat Hanh said, "suffering is not enough".

I specialize in working with college students or young professionals tired of feeling lost, lonely & disconnected to get to know themselves & begin prioritizing this relationship above all others.
Is anxiety, overwhelm & past trauma making you feel like the walls are caving in? You’ve done everything “right” in life, only to realize that hasn’t made life any easier. Maybe you are one of those high achievers who succeeds at everything or a people-pleaser terrified of confrontation. Either way – you feel out of control & ashamed because - why can’t you figure this mental health stuff out? On top of all this, you are at a time of great transition, change & growth. Learning to be an adult in a scary & unpredictable world can feel very lonely & crushing. Especially a world that can feel like it’s going off the rails.

Are you feeling stuck? Do you feel numb, unable to find joy in things that once made you happy? When we're struggling, it can spill out onto our relationships, showing up in ways that create more issues. In our efforts to make change, we may try to solve them by reading self-help books or talking to our closest friends, only to find the problem is still a problem. That’s where I can help. Together we’ll identify goals and collaborate on a treatment plan. The beginning of any journey or change begins with acceptance, the proper treatment, and a healthier relationship and connection with ourselves and the world around us.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, I utilize techniques from somatic, dance, movement, and expressive arts therapies to help you find ways to build a stronger relationship with your body and nervous system.
Availability as of 9/4: Tuesdays 10am, Wednesdays 11am every other week. The world is real rough sometimes isn't it? Let's find a gentle place for you to land. You might find your heart racing thinking about a stressful conversation or notice that you struggle to breathe after being reminded of a trauma from the past. You’ve been living with this for a while and thought it would just ease with time, but it feels like something in your nervous system is just mis-wired. Through body-based, creative, and relational work we can create a space that allows your body to soften and settle, to find a little more peace.

I work with a diversity of adults experiencing relationship issues, anxiety, depression, PTSD, and life transitions. Are you feeling stuck in in a pattern but unsure how to break out of it? Are you struggling to find a sense of balance or hope, navigating life transition, feeling afraid to engage in activities you once enjoyed? You may be experiencing self-judgment, low self-worth, shame, or just seeking change. These are common issues that bring people to therapy, and can be an opportunity for deeper growth and acceptance. When you feel seen and heard in therapy, deep healing is possible.

Using clear, measurable goals along with practical skills development, I diagnose and treat an array of issues: Life Transitions, Anxiety, Depression, Grief and Loss, Bipolar I & II, Mood Swings, Perfectionism, PTSD, Relationship issues, Career/Job issues, Work/Life Balance, Self Esteem, Stress and Stress-Related issues, and Trauma.
**NEW CLIENTS - Please email me** No one deserves to live in pain. For therapy to work, you need three things: curiosity about yourself and your interactions with others, an authentic connection with your therapist, and concrete, practical tools and skills to promote real and lasting change. My job is to facilitate an understanding of what is causing you pain and getting in your way of creating your best life. As your therapist, I don’t “just listen.” I use an integrative approach, combining several modalities to create the most effective treatment for each client. I practice remote therapy with individual adults.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
