I believe everyone has innate wisdom within themselves to overcome whatever obstacles are in front of them. I specialize in treating children, adolescents, and families that have experienced trauma and consequently suffering from anxiety, depression, attentional difficulties, sleep issues, developmental obstacles. Expressive therapies offers a unique way to language those issues using art, painting, clay work, journal writing, sand tray play and canine therapy, and they begin to externalize worries and concerns, crisis and trauma through symbols and mastery is gained. When families in pain begin to play together, perceptions of each other are changed, communication is accomplished and individuals experience their true potential.

As a therapist, my job is to help you access your inner wisdom, navigate relationships and change, and create a fulfilling, balanced life. I find that my clients are often equipped with strengths and talents that they do not give themselves credit for. I enjoy working with those who are embarking on new life transitions, as well as parents who are seeking guidance on behavior management with their young children, preadolecents and teens. Couples work, as well as parenting and the relationship between caregiver and child have been at the core of my practice for most of my career.

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor with almost a decade working in community mental health. As such, I hope to add my contribution to as many peoples' access to mental health treatment as possible. I've worked with a wide range of ages, diagnoses, and treatment concerns. From individuals with mood disorders to trauma- and stressor-related conditions, psychotic symptoms to personality disorder diagnoses; I am committed to helping those seeking treatment. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Child Mental Health Specialist in Washington State. I counsel people ages two to hundred in aspects of their lives from creating a strong parent/infant bond to adolescent struggles to saying goodbye at life's end. I draw on several approaches for treatment including EMDR, mindfulness-based CBT, and traditional talk therapy, tailoring my practice toward the needs of each person. The trauma may surface through symptoms of depression, anxiety, PTSD, or difficulty managing relationships. I work with a lot of individuals who have experienced complex trauma, developmental trauma, a single traumatic event, emotional neglect, and physical neglect.
