As an interactive, solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. In a comfortable and supportive atmosphere, and with compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing. The use of Telehealth allows for greater flexibility in scheduling. I have found it to be an effective modality for counseling.

Are you finding yourself reactive, anxious, tired, and overwhelmed? You’re not alone and I can help.

Rather than provide clients with the answers for their lives, I provide processes and exercises that help my clients find their own answers to what they are seeking. My aim is to help clients learn how to release the thoughts and patterns that block their progress and then provide them with exercises and methods that show them how to become more consistently connected to their Higher Self, in order to enhance their ability to achieve inspired action.

You cannot recover from anxiety by just remaining calm, or depression by just being positive. Recovery from the battles of life takes time, patience, and releasing old habits. Whether you’re facing mental illness, parenting, relationships, or life transitions; change must occur in order for peace to resurface. It's okay to feel unstable, it's ok for things to not be ok, and it's okay to ask for help.

Hello there! Understanding your own story and what has led you to this point in your life can feel overwhelming, I’m here to help with that. It's important to know the truth of your own story, identify patterns and see where you might start making changes. My goal is to provide you a space where you can be your authentic self, explore old wounds, gain self-confidence, and take action to live a life aligned with your values. Oftentimes this will look like identifying boundaries, how to communicate these and honor them. Wherever you are at in your journey of aging, spirituality, and identity is where we’ll start.

Hi! My name is Veronica and go by my nickname, Moica. I have an eclectic solution-focused approach to my work with individuals. Utilizing a customized approach to support each client's unique challenges and barriers. Support my client to take the lead in their treatment and create an engaging dialogue and experience. Utilizing therapy as a safe place to vent, process and express yourself is a great use of your session; however, I also enjoy treating from a systemic approach. This allows me to create a clear road map for my clients on how they can reach some of their “Big Goals”, whether they are personal and or professional goals.

Energy Psychology Therapists

What are the roots of energy psychology?

Energy psychology is a relatively new modality, yet it combines older techniques from both Eastern and Western medicine—talk therapy and exposure therapy from a Western orientation and energy fields and healing touch from an Eastern orientation. Although these techniques have long existed, they were developed into today’s form of energy psychology and brought to the fore in the 1980s by psychologists including Fred Gallo, Roger Callahan, and David Feinstein.

Is energy psychology a short-term therapy?

Energy psychology is a brief intervention, designed to provide relief to patients quickly. The exact number of sessions a patient requires varies depending on numerous factors, including the condition being treated, the technique being used, and the practitioner's approach. Some patients may begin to improve after only one session. Proponents of energy therapy point out that it is relatively easy to learn, so clients can practice some of the techniques on themselves at home, such as the acceptance, acupressure, and affirmations used in emotional freedom technique.

Does energy therapy work?

The exposure therapy techniques involved in energy psychology, such as recounting a traumatic experience to the therapist, are evidence-based and have long helped individuals address trauma, phobias, and anxiety. As a whole, the practice isn’t as validated as other techniques, but it may be healing for some. Energy psychology involves exposing a client to a distressing memory, object, or situation in the therapy room while providing acupressure or tapping to relieve distress, which is thought to lower the stress and arousal of the body that had become associated with the relevant stimulus.

What are the limitations of energy therapy?

A disadvantage of energy psychology is that the research supporting its effectiveness is not as robust as research supporting the effectiveness of other therapy types, such as cognitive behavioral therapy or acceptance and commitment therapy, specifically the component of body tapping and touching. Some research on energy psychology has also been critiqued for being methodologically flawed.
