I'm passionate about helping my clients break toxic patterns and set healthier boundaries. I specialize in working with the adult children of parents with borderline and narcissistic personality disorders in my practice. Additionally, I love to work with clients who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and OCD. My style is supportive, honest, and direct with a bit of humor sprinkled in. I love being a therapist, but I'm definitely not the perfect therapist for everyone. I'm straightforward, bubbly, and have been known to use profanity on occasion to emphasize a point!

Thanks for visiting my page. Maybe you feel stuck, overwhelmed—unsure about what to do. You might be struggling with anxiety, worry, or depression. Maybe you feel exhausted from a relationship that "needs work" or the loneliness resulting from wanting but not having one. Maybe life is good, but you’d like to consult with a professional about how you can achieve greater work-life balance and personal fulfillment. You might want to talk and only need someone to really listen.

I meet with couples and individuals age 13+ who suffer from depression, trauma, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, transitional difficulties, or other issues.
I bring logical and artistic strengths to the field of counseling while honoring the personal growth path that resonates with each individual. As a professional musician for over twenty years, I understand the value of actively listening to others, and know there are many paths to creating beauty and meaning. I seek to build an environment that empowers individuals to find therapies that resonate with their own strengths, comforts, and emotional needs. I strive to interact with each client compassionately, openly, and honestly regardless of their sexuality, gender, culture, or spiritual lens.

Many also hold identifies with marginalized groups as LGBTQ+ or BIPOC folx. Together we will listen to the story your body, symptoms, and/or behaviors are telling you so you can find your way back to yourself and restore connection.

Healthy relationship goals may include building mutual respect and grace, trust, humility, & boundaries to build up and authentically love and care for one another.
My counseling style is accepting, respectful, and down to earth. I am direct yet in a compassionate, thoughtful way. One of my key beliefs is that we all have needs in our life such as the needs to experience a sense of belonging and acceptance, value and worth. I can help you become more aware of what needs you and significant others in your life have, how you are currently trying to satisfy those, and explore alternative means to fulfilling your needs if appropriate. This can help with improving mood, enhancing relationships, decreasing anxiety- just to name a few concerns.

I have a general practice where I work with a broad spectrum of adults and adolescents routinely dealing with issues related to anxiety, PTSD, depression and relationship difficulties.
****Not accepting new patients at this time. Will post when availability opens up**** I believe one of the greatest attributes of the therapeutic relationship is the ability to be open and honest with your thoughts, feelings, and relationship issues. Therapy is a place where you don't have to worry about being judged or having your statements negatively impact your world. A place where you can feel heard and understood, and receive objective feedback from someone whose sole purpose is to help you to make your life better.

We believe that successful counseling is a collaborative experience between you and your therapist; that finding the right fit is vital to that success.

I believe we are made to be in relationship with others and when there are difficulties, we suffer.
"I'm tired. Tired of living in a relationship that is a lot of work with little reward. I've read books and gone to seminars but nothing changes. I don't want to be miserable, walking on eggshells to avoid fighting. I feel so alone and want the person I once was madly in love with to pay attention to me and look at me with love and admiration. Everywhere I turn there are demands and I just want peace. I can't see past the issues- and sometimes I don't even know what the "issue" is except we are both unhappy."

My unique integrative approach pulls from multiple research-proven techniques designed to help you create a more reality based relationship with your mind, feelings, and the self.
Everyone has a unique set of concerns and goals. However, some things most of us have in common are poor self-image, relational dysregulation, and a general dissatisfaction with life stemming directly from shame we experienced as young children. These unfortunate truths in combination with unhealthy societal influences have led to depression being the 2nd most costly and debilitating disease in the world. Some common goals for my clients are developing effective coping skills, improving relational skills, and increasing emotional regulation. I am confident in my ability to help anyone find sustainable peace and happiness in life.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
