My services are exclusively telehealth for women across the state of Washington. No commute or battling traffic! I am here to empower the women I serve and help reclaim their identity, autonomy and inner confidence. I am a therapist who deeply understands the severe impacts of trauma and I understand the value of safety and trust when processing and navigating the heavy emotions that can come from trauma and other challenges life can bring. I enjoy working with individuals and families who are on the journey to find themselves and on the road, to becoming a better self. My approach is to work together and provide support to my clients in order to identify solutions or improve skills that may be present but have not been used. Therapy does not have to be boring or stressful, this is a no judgement zone where humor is also encouraged. I am fluent in Spanish and am open to working with the Spanish speaking community.

My name is Cassie Mendez and I offer therapy services as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Washington State. I enjoy working with children, adults, and families. I work with individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, interpersonal relationship issues, and personality disorders.

I work with adults with a wide variety goals aimed at addressing their mental, emotional and physical health needs. Clients are often struggling with depression, anxiety and a general feeling of being overwhelmed. I also focus on clients who are seeking to improve their physical health and help them to do the mental and behavioral work necessary to change their eating habits, lose weight and improve their health.

I work specifically with couples using emotionally focused therapy (EFT). Counselor strategies for couples and marital issues are much different than what a traditional counselor might utilize. I am a systemic couple’s counselor, this means that I see your relationship as my client. EFT is the most empirically validated treatment protocol based on 50 years of research to help couples reconnect and feel fulfilled. EFT can help by focusing on your attachment bond.

Many couples want to communicate better, and at the core, partners want to feel emotionally connected to each other. Oftentimes, the negative interaction cycles of blame-withdraw, attack-defend, demand-withdraw are actually indicators of emotional disconnection between partners. By identifying the cycle, couples can become more open to and engaged, can create new emotionally attuned connections, and can revitalize their relationship.
