Hi! I'm Barbara. I have nearly 20 years of experience working with adults who experience anxiety, depression, codependence, personality issues, communication difficulties, and substance use. These issues keep us from living and experiencing our lives and make our worlds smaller. We often need to process our experiences with another individual and help us make sense of our experiences and to gain a different outlook on them.

My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, pragmatic, and theoretically grounded in the biopsychosocial model. When assessing clients and their treatment needs, I recognize individuals are embedded within a complex web of social relationships and are influenced by larger political, economic, and environmental forces.

I have had the privilege of over 25 years of working with people providing psychotherapy and addiction and substance abuse treatment. My approach to assisting people having a fuller life and gain mastery over their obstacles is a blend of dynamic/insight and cognitive behavioral approaches.

She also provides in-depth evaluations for individuals seeking a better understanding of their treatment needs and diagnosis. She conducts forensic comprehensive evaluations for families in high conflict. Dr. Gabriel values working with the courts, health care providers, and social service teams.

As a Marriage and Family Therapist with more than 22 years of experience in the field, I provide counseling to adolescents (individually from 14 years old and up), adults, couples and families.
