If you are in the process of deciding to begin therapy, welcome! Making this decision to engage with therapy and navigating the system of mental health services can be challenging. I am a licensed independent social worker who practices in Massachusetts. I have been in the field for over thirty years and have had the privilege of working with children, adolescents, and adults from diverse backgrounds (varying by race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic background). I work to create a safe space for my clients to express themselves, share their life stories, process experiences, and learn useful coping skills.
I work with people dealing with a variety of challenges to develop tools for coping. I treat each person as an individual whose experiences and strengths are unique. The work I do creates the kinds of opportunities for growth and awareness that help us to weather life's challenges. I create a therapy space is a space of acceptance and understanding.
