Years ago, I visited Ghana where I was introduced to a symbol called the “Sankofa”. The Sankofa translates into “go back and fetch” and symbolizes the importance of looking to your past in order to reclaim the strength and wisdom that has been left behind. As a therapist this deeply resonates with me. Often pieces of our past may feel too painful or overwhelming to revisit. I have experience working with people who want help with depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ issues, and faith-based counseling. In a therapy session there is room for everything you are feeling. Through awareness of our thoughts, feelings, and bodies, change can begin to occur. I believe the therapeutic relationship of the counselor/client is uniquely suited to facilitate that change.

I specialize in teletherapy for neurodivergent, queer, and gender diverse people (and am proudly autistic, ADHD, queer, and trans myself).
